The guest list has yet to be released, but the transpeople who attended the reception are already posting their pictures on Facebook and commenting about how wonderful it was.

Too bad so far there have been no African descended transwomen commenting about Tuesday's Presidential GLBT reception.

Under the condition that 8 TGs are in attendance, it's not unusual to legitimately have 0 fitting the demanded demographic.  And if you're going to have a Black MtF, a Black FtM, a Hispanic MtF, a Hispanic FtM, that only leaves 4 for other ethnic/racial groups and other TG branches.

Now if 7 of the 8 TGs are non-Hispanic White TSs, someone may make that into a more legitimate beef.

It really is exasperating to keep reading American stories about racial politics.
It's so outdated, and just doesn't make a lot of sense to people in other countries.

Australia still has a way to go but, by and large people here  have got past it, and apart from court cases over land ownership, it's really not something the average person really takes much notice of.

We are sometimes accused of being obsessed about sport, but at least the colours on your football team's jumper are a more rational base for argument than the colour of your skin.
