Jim Panyard, a reporter for the PA Independent,  states in his news column which appeared in our local paper the outgoing governor Ed Rendell handed out a $6 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program Grant to the William Way  Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Senior Housing Center in Philadelphia, PA.

The grant was part of $3 billion the governor handed out in his last days as governor which residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be saddled with repaying.  According to the story there is a possibility that incoming Governor Tom Corbett could possibly cut some of these grants.
