If I had to name any Christian songs that continually inspire me, they would have to be 'Amazing Grace' and 'Nearer My God To Thee'
Jesus Is Lord
Amen

"No More Night"

"Who Am I" by Casting Crowns

"Then Came the Morning"

I'm Anglo-Catholic, and I love Matt Maher's rendition of Saint Thomas Aquinas' prayer for Communion. It always reminds me of God's love and presence. :)

I am not Christian, but strangely enough I do feel uplifted by a lot of the music.  A few I particularly enjoy are

Lord, I Life Your Name On High
Awesome God
Come, Now Is The Time To Worship
My Jesus, My Savior

I find it weird that they make me feel so good but who am I to question a good thing?
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

CaseyB,
I don't want to cause a thread drift but many do not realize the difference between mind and spirit.

When God breathed the breath of life into man he became a living soul. We see the same when Jesus did likewise and said "receive ye the Holy Ghost."

Your spirit is that part of you which longs for God. Your mind is that part of you that may try to rationalize everything and cause you to not believe.

When you hear certain songs your spirit which longs for God is enlightened as it is not hearing the worldly things of which it longs to be free of. Sort of how some people can be on a death bed and everyone prays they will get better yet the spirit within them just longs to be with the Lord.

Some churches play these tactics with videos and powerpoint and light settings to make people feel good. Even though the people do not have the spiritual discernment to see what they are doing to them they feel good and make that church their home church. They end up deceived so the minister can get money.

Some of these things are no longer taught as many ministers don't want people to know how they are being manipulated.

May God bless.

I only ever really listened to Mae and the band my cousin was in, Loftland.  He quit the band to go to school.
Courage is the power that turn dreams into reality.

Shantel

This child is just adorable, her mother had just died of cervical cancer a few months earlier!

I have several favorites and some of my favorites include

Lead me Guide me

I am weak and I need thy strength and power
to help me over my weakest hour.
Help me through the darkness thy face to see.
Lead me, O Lord, lead me.

            Refrain:
Lead me, guide me, along the way,
for if you lead me, I cannot stray.
Lord, let me walk each day with thee.

Help me tread in the paths of righteousness.
Be my aid when Satan and sin oppress.
I am putting all my trust in thee.
Lead me, O Lord, lead me..............................(Refrain)

I am lost if you take your hand from me.
I am blind without thy light to see.
Lord, just always let me thy servant be.
Lead me, O Lord, lead me..............................(Refrain)

Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing
Lift every voice and sing, till earth and Heaven ring,
Ring with the harmonies of liberty;
Let our rejoicing rise, high as the listening skies,
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on till victory is won.

Stony the road we trod, bitter the chastening rod,
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died;
Yet with a steady beat, have not our weary feet,
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered,
We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered;
Out from the gloomy past, till now we stand at last
Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast.

God of our weary years, God of our silent tears,
Thou Who hast brought us thus far on the way;
Thou Who hast by Thy might, led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee.
Lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee.
Shadowed beneath Thy hand, may we forever stand,
True to our God, true to our native land.

Precious Lord, Take my Hand

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When my way grows drear
Precious Lord linger near
When my life is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When the darkness appears
And the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Answers are easy. It's asking the right questions which is hard.

Be positive in the fact that there is always one person in a worse situation then you.

Glad to see you got your old account back.  I've added this song to my "Favorite Videos" playlist.

And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
