Making A Custom Prosthetic/packer

I recently discovered something called the "Clone a willy kit." Basically something made for cis-dudes to make a replica dildo of their penis. The rubber used for the copy is pretty stiff, not what you would want for a soft packy, but couldn't a softer silicone rubber be used? The silicone stuff is not as expensive as I thought it would be, and would be cheaper than buying one of the custom prosthetics on the market now(one place was $25 for a pound of food grade silicone, but I don't know if it would be appropriate for this type of thing).

The only problem I am trying to figure out now though, is the exact type of silicone rubber(s) that I want to use. I wonder how difficult it would be to replicate the Tyson2 prosthetics. The inflatable penis idea is pretty darn awesome, but my main goal is just a realistic enough STP that I would feel comfortable enough using in a gym type setting.

So, comments, ideas?

first off, you'd need medical grade silicone which is actually quite pricey.
2.  the clone-a-willy set comes with a tube in which an erect penis is inserted....so you will not be able to make a mold of  balls etc.
3.  those silicone prosthetics that look realistic usually had some paint work done (reelmagic, lolajake, etc.), whereas those that are just one solid color don't look  very realistic (cp. Mr. Right by VixSkin).
4. To be able to use a silicone prosthetic as an STP you will need to leave the hole through the shaft when you mold it because you can't drill or melt a hole through a silicone packer afterwards (it will tear).

Okay, that said, even though it's a hell of a lot of work, i think if you're passionate enough to experiment with materials and molds etc. for a while, i'd certainly give it a shot. I was planning on doing something similar at some point but realized that i'm fine with the good vibes soft pack for now.

1. Any idea what the difference between what medical and food grade would be? I assumed food grade would be safe enough.

2. The people that made the clone-a-willy also have one that includes the balls

3. Yeah, I was wondering how that would be done. I mean, I don't think you'd just paint it right on top, or use normal paint. But I've got artist friends whom wouldn't mind doing such work, once I figured out the process.

4. Well there are actually a few youtube videos about how to convert a packer into an stp, usually by burning a hole through the middle. But I had planed on just having the hole in there from the start by coating something long and slender(heh) with an anti-bonding agent and letting the silicone cure around it.

Anywho, thanks for the response. I'm off to go look up the medical grade stuff now.

-- i believe it has different surface texture but then again, i'm not sure. it does sound safe enough.

-- that's awesome, they didn't use to have that when i looked at them last year :D

i believe the colors are usually air-brushed on but i don't know what kind of paint is used for that.

---that works well with cyberskin packers. silicone however won't burn the way cyberskin does (after all there are silicone muffin "tins" etc.) and when you just push a needle through the silicone, it will tear (i've tried, broke my Mr. Right that way). Your idea sounds fine to me, though i would coat the actual stp your're gonna use with the anti-bonding agent and put it in there.

Have fun!

3. Air-brushed! I didn't even think about that. I wonder how much those guns cost....

4. Ohh, totally didn't realize it was a different material. Thanks for advice :)
