Yup, after they told me I could have it done in the comfort of the clinic, I got examined yesterday and told that I would have to have it done in the hospital. Oh well. At least they bumped me up a day so my ticker is now wrong.  :P

I am sooo nervous! They told me not to take anything by oral but I was so anxious I disobeyed them and took an anti anxiety med. I'm a bad girl.  >:-) Anyway I am soooooo thirsty and a bit hungry too. :(

Most likely I will be in here for a week with packing and a catheter - joy of joys. And icky hospital food. At least this time I asked for vegetarian (I don't eat animals) so won't have to fuss with the nurses in Thai. LOL  :D

Whew - the day is finally here!

I'm curious, what's the revision exactly? If you don't mind me asking

Either way, good luck!

Basically after my original SRS I dilated until I couldn't anymore and the result was I shrank to the width of a pencil. This is an easy pitfall for Suporn patients, unfortunately.

I made it through the surgery today and they said all went well. When I woke up, I was in a lot of pain - about an 8 on the 1-10 scale - then they gave me some pain meds and it gradually reduced to almost nothing.

The hospital internet is touch and go so it's hard to keep you all updated.

Glad to hear it all went well!   :)

Thank you! :) I'm excited to be able to dilate again (I know that sounds odd doesn't it) but it'll have to wait a week because I'm full of packing.

The hospital bed is hard and uncomfortable, nothing like the one they had me in the first go round. That one was awesome it had parts inside that shifted, allowing me to stay in one position. Normally I can't sleep on my back for any length of time I have to lay on my side and switch sides often, and it's difficult right now so my sleep is not doing well.

Oh well, at least it's done.  Time will fly and you will soon be back to your old surroundings with your newly refurbished equipment good as new!   :)

Thank you Jamie!  :)

Well I was wrong about the packing... the Dr came in and gave me some good news. He said I have enough skin inside that he was able to put the largest dilator in there, but not to try that myself just yet as it would hurt too much. I've been able to use the small one, it's odd because it feels like it won't go in it and won't go in and then I look and it's in. I'm also using the medium dilator with almost as much success. My goodness does it hurt. But that just means I'm doing it right.  :D

Thank you yes it actually says "no pain no gain" in the post-op guidebook! :D

No, he did something different that I don't quite understand having to do with using the tissues surrounding the vagina to fill in the needed space. He said it will cause less scarring than a skin graft would have. On the other hand, he said most patients who come in and need width increased have just slightly less than enough, whereas I was the width of a pencil, so instead of just having a tiny piece of new tissue I have almost all new tissue and will have to worry again about scarring after all.

Now I think where I went wrong before wasn't that I didn't stir hard enough or leave it in long enough but that I gave up too easily, thinking the space to be already too narrow when in fact it wasn't.

Congrs Dawkbua, I haven't been on in AGES. But I remember you having problems with that and I'm happy to hear you had your revision and came out of it.

Thank you Vanna, and I have seen you around the board. :) Where are you at with your recovery? I wish you well with it!

------------------------------

Someone from the clinic came today and showed me how to dilate. OMG such pain!!!! I don't know how to inflict that much pain on myself. I don't know what to do because she said it's necessary and that I can do it, but I feel like I am going to fail again because I can't stand the agony.  :'(

Hola again

i am at where you are now, so much pain after all this time but you know i have learnt much things along the way to help.

Time, yes take you time ofc it hurts, just get those good pain killers they help so much, sadly i ran out of them and had to live with it, i have no access to good ones but at the time they helped lots, if it takes all evening to get it in, it was still time well spending :)

once its in and it really really hurts, just leave it keeping the pressu to stop it coming out again, it is like you body becomes used to it verry fast and then you can move in more, push harder or dynamically dilate or all three

remember you can relube as much as you need and get a better one then you currently using, it made a big difference for me getting away off the one they gave and the usual drugstore ones, get a really good sex aid one, maybe start a thread here :)

and finally, yes so so obvious but never give up, make a comfy area, one that takes you away form it all, i have my tablet and i watch youtube or listen to some Manuel Granada or whoever can take you away really

those tears are worth it, remember you are like starting out again that first week in chonburi all over again huh, including the bad food, bad internet and interesting decor :) but experience of a lifetime

everyone says be careful with the meds, becoming addicted i dealt with that after it got better, dilation was far more important then coming down off some pills

anyhoow i prob maybe over stepped some mark here but you know, you can do it  and all just my own personal journey ofc

it will get much better again, you already have that knowledge :)

Gracias, we all beleive in you
