as Centcomm01 says, the general rule of thumb is to add 2 to the mens size to get the womens (assuming you are talking about normal US sizes). However, they do vary in actual size much like mens shoes.

For example, my foot is a bit under 11" long and 4" wide, this would place me as a about 12 in womens, and a about a 10 in mens, by most size charts (BTW the chart on the Payless site is pretty easy to follow), however, as online shoe buying has taught me not everything is sized even close to "correct" so sometime I can wear an 11 in womens and on at least one brand of mens sized converse rip offs, I wear an 11 too, which is crazy when you think on it.

The only true way to know the sizes is to try them on, however, I prefer shopping online, I find that brand tend to be more or less true to themselves sizewise, so I know if this brand runs big, I know that most of their shoes usually do.

true, but if you are unfamiliar with a brand or new at buying shoes online, you will be throwing money to the wind because it will be a crapshoot to see if the shoe really fits or even if the shoe looks good on you.

Going into a store and trying them on is always the best way to go: You will make sure the shoe fits perfectly, you will make sure the shoe looks nice on you and you wont be spending an extra 7 bucks to have it shipped to you house and also you will not need to wait like a week and a half to wear them....buy them in the store and wear them out that day!

Now, if you are deeply in the closet then shopping online is the way to go I suppose....but still. Just walk into a shoe store (if you are not out) and just try a shoe on. No one's gonna kill ya!

Excuse me while I explode into a thousand pieces of awesome.
Thanks for letting me know, I think I might finally be getting some damn boots soon XD

Lee's post made me remember, I think I'm the only one like this. Being barefoot and walking around actually hurts for me. That's part of the reason I never wear sandals/flip flops/anything like that, they're just...really uncomfortable. When I'm cooking, I have to wear my converse at least. I is strange.

These wedges are way cute  :)  I'm rather tall so I limit my heals to 2" and under... I wish I were 4" shorter and had smaller feet  :P There would be much more selection for me to choose from

*Shrugs, heavy sigh*

Converse.

They're comfortable, last a long time, a person can wear them with almost anything, and I know they'll fit me without having to try them on. I like that they come in leather now. The only downside is that they have no real support, but I guess that's what shoe inserts are for.

This. I've worn Converse since the 8th grade, but my favorites are my Adidas Sambas.

I like almost all types of women's shoes. Flats, wedges, heels, doesn't matter :D I think I like shoes a little too much, I'm far from living full-time and I already have more than 20 pairs of shoes :D
