me before, being a "man's man" lol.....compared to my avatar (a recent portrait scanned at low res to fit data restriction) doesnt even look like the same person! granted, I've done alot to enhance my appearance...no ffs but plenty of chemical peels, retin a and skin bleach to remove freckles....

Some truly remarkable transitions here... I was wondering if any of you ladies are taking HRT? Im a bio women and I look very masculine!! Im desperately trying to figure out how to look more femme.

@ laurad....yes, I've been on HRT since February 2002.  Premarin and spironolactone for 7 months, then Delestrogen IM injection + medroxyprogesterone and Lupron Depot for 5 1/2 years and estrase since 2008.

Hi Jamie Nicole thanks for the quick response! Do you go through your doctor for this?

[edited to remove dosage info as per ToS - Padma]

If you wanna do it right, effectively, and safely then you should go through your doc

Hi, just to remind y'all that posting dosages is not allowed on Susan's, for the following reasons (from our ToS):

8. The discussion of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) and it's medications are permitted, with the following limitations:

    A. Advocating for or against a specific medication or combinations of medications for personal gain is strictly prohibited.
    B. Discussing the means to acquire HRT medications without a prescription, and self medication without a doctors care is prohibited.
    C. Discussing dosages is strongly discouraged to prevent information obtained on this site from being used to self medicate.

We can not in good conscience condone the self administering of these medications. Not only may self medication be illegal, but HRT medications can cause serious health problems, and many have the potential for life-threatening side effects that can only be detected and prevented with proper medical supervision.

Wait be careful sweetie most women are only allowed estro for medical reasons because any born women has a super high risk that from 30+ to get breast cancer from adding extra estrogen into your body. Before i could start estro my doctor had to find records about breast cancer in my family. I wouldnt suggest estro because if your past puberty it wont help a born women look more feminine i suggest surgery its a safer rout if you dont like how you look'

Wow, a lot of wonderful transformations here...

it may just be me, but every time I see transition photos, the person always looks better as a woman. :-)

I am a work in progress, but I think I look better in my avatar than this, circa four years ago:

Zoe....look at the damn camera!! just kidding......looking good!

I look into cameras when other people take pictures, but I hate taking pictures of myself because I feel like an idiot and I'm ashamed to look into the camera.  Unfortunately, I don't have anyone else in my life to take pictures of me and so it's my only option!

Smiling wasn't something I did often, especially not in pictures. I do a lot more smiling now!

Jesse James? Lol.. I really went waaay masculine in order to try and compensate for trans feelings... had the bad boy thing going on. I'm sure some of you can relate.
