What do you like and/or dislike about Pasta?

Like it? Love it!!! Give me some more!
I eat some type of pasta fairly regularly
I like it sometimes
If I drop some raw pasta on the floor, I can throw it in a pot and cook it anyway... It boils for several minutes
I'm not a big pasta fan but it's okay once in a while
Pasta's EVIL!!! I hate The stuff!!!

My favorite is hookers pasta and not just because of the name, it's easy to make and tasty. It's also called pasta puttanesca.

I adore that stuff, all garlicy and capery and anchovy-y. I always pick that one.
I like pasta for it's squishiness.

Hmm, I might have to try making that one night.

One of the things I love about pasta is the large selection of different types you can use depending upon what you want to make  :)  except when I'm feeling indecisive... Then such a large selection of options is a real bitch  :P

And who doesn't love the kissie lips face you make when sucking a long spaghetti noodle in?

Some of my fondest memories of living on my own was making pasta...
This was the first Thanksgiving dinner I made for myself:

Only when the noodle slaps you in the face and throws sauce up your nose or in your eyes-then ya gotta love it! I love it that you can do just about anything with it-with just about anything-especially tomatoes! Ummm, penne! When you can't decide just close your eyes and throw what ever you grab first into the water!!!

Baked Ziti.   Made a big batch of it last night.   Browned some sausage, then mixed in garlic, roasted red pepper, marinara sauce, and ricotta, then mixed in the pasta, put it in a casserole dish with mozzerella and baked till it was all melty and delicious. :)

I love pasta but could never get the spaghetti eating technique. There is always more over me and my clothes than in me. So I tend to go for the tubes.

I totally love making my own pasta, it is so different, so tender so ....pasta ish. Mmm might have to make some this weekend.

VM you are a naughty girl, getting my juices flowing

Hugs Sis

Chili pasta.

CHILI WITH PASTA
1 lb. pasta, angel hair, thin or regular spaghetti
1 lb. beef or veal stew meat
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
1 (14-16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 env. pkg. chili seasoning mix
1 c. shredded Mozzarella or cheddar
Raw chopped onion pieces (optional)
Crushed red pepper (optional)
Cut stew meat into small bite size pieces and brown in 1 teaspoon oil in skillet. Add kidney beans, tomatoes, and chili seasoning mix to meat. Stir all together and let simmer for 15 minutes. Boil pasta and drain while chili simmers.
Put pasta on warm platter or individual plates and spoon chili on top. Sprinkle with cheese. Add some onions and crushed red pepper if so desired.

Or open a can of chili and add spaghetti
