analog movies from a hi8 to the computer to down load

There isn't s cartridge or anything like that.
there is how ever the RCA connectors and the computer is new hp w/windows 7 premium 64 byte
Is there a program? the computer doesn't recognize the camera
It works on my tv ok, I would think there would be someting that wood work on the computer.
These tapes are newly found and in good condition, they are my daughters growing up, about 5 yrs worth.

This has me interested i. Do you have the Hi8 tapes and the Hi8 player and want to down load these into your computer?

Do the tapes and player work, say connected into your TV?

Can yolu describe the name of the machine manufacturer and the approximate date and model number?
