That masculine looking person may be a lot happier and confident than the good looking one who is constantly facing rejection when people find out what's in the pants.

   Lol, being able to leave my apartment without fear of being rejected by society sounds much more appealing IMHO.

i would rather be a really beautiful female than have a vagina, but look like a man. having a vagina but looking like a man won't benefit you since you'll never pass and if you do get a guy to have sex with you, it will just be something for him to do when he is bored. he could always leave you for the next flavor of the month, so it wouldn't make a difference. a vagina is just something to do, but any guy worth the longhaul for me would be one who loves me on a deeper emotional level, and not just sex. also, i wouldn't go around like a common tramp door to door for sex. there's only one guy i anticipate to show any of my naked body to when the time is right, and i'll make sure he's definately the right one beforehand.

people can't use xray vision to tell what's in your pants, but they see everything else. anyway, this should speak volumes. if i had to choose between ffs if my face were masculine or srs, i would choose ffs.

then on the other side of the coin, i doubt many guys will want sex with someone who looks like a man in the clothes of a woman, but has a vagina. when a guy wants sex, he's usually just worried about finding something that meets his fancy. as long as he isn't tied down by marriage, he will most likely just be wanting sex with whatever looks most appealing until he actually finds out there's more to life than sex. i don't know what guys think, but that sounds like how most of them go through just because of all the mantras on men taking longer to grow up.

I have seen both people that look very masculine and have no problem with society at all, and people that look very good, but are extremely scared, and still leave their house dressed as a guy. Of course looking good will help, but in the end it's all about confidence.

Let's not forget that there are plenty of women that look very masculine too, and they also seem to do fine.

In my therapy group. Most of the girls(who were IT nerd "guys" with long hair during the day) only dressed up after work. They all looked awkward. Afraid to come out to their coworkers.

Yeah, it's not about sex. Most straight men would run away anyways, the idea freaks a lot of them out. The masculine ones get it from ->-bleeped-<- ->-bleeped-<-s. I at least have men chasing men who think I was born with the part naturally. Rather they be honest and not stick around, then to stick around and chase me for my PENIS. They leave me with my dignity.

In my experience looking obviously male while trying to present female draws a lot of unwanted atention and devastating comments which leaves the 'confidence' in ruins and torpedoes the happyness.

Just wondering, but are you talking about other people or about your own experience now? Because on the photos that you posted you definitely don't look 'obviously male' to me.

Written word can come across in many different meanings depending on the person. My experience is there are a lot of hetero men out there who arnt phased by a girls background. It all does boil down to how mentally attractive you are to a person. Oh believe me I get a huge number of knock backs but at the same time Im quite happy with the number who are prepared to meet me.

Ive only met two straight guys who have been open about not minding a trans-womans past. One i met online and things went well untill i realised i wasnt ready for a relationship at that point. The other guy is dating my friend who is also trans.
