I just sent an email to my dad's girlfriend, who I consider to be like a mom to me, detailing how I am feeling and what I am going through.  She has been in my life for the past 3 years and I feel like I can talk to her about a lot of different things, but this was really a really hard thing to send her.  I really hope she takes this well and I should find out tomorrow morning.  I'll keep everyone posted as to how it went.

So I had a nice long talk with my Dad's girlfriend tonight and she helped me come out to my Dad as well.  I think they took it pretty well.  They're mainly concerned about how it will effect me in the long run as to getting jobs, how people will react towards me, and financially how much it would cost to transition and how I would pay for it.  My dad's a little confused about the whole thing but they both said that they love me no matter what and that they will always be there for me.
