Hey Gnawty, just like the prizes, the cake is a lie.

But I like free food, especially when it's free.  I should at least get a cookie for hanging around and lurking so much.

Prizes have been awarded. All prizes are bits of wisdom from Tekla.  (No wonder you didn't get a prize.)

Kia Ora Silver,

::) I'm glad that you have finally found peace....

::) Sometimes just a few words drawn from experience can greatly help others, no doubt you have in some way helped others just look at the amount of +s you have collected...

Metta Zenda :)

Ahaha, thanks. I will stick around and see what I can do.

And really, those +s are from my postcount. I was autoawarded points for having a ridiculous postcount when the site made the switch but I hardly have much to say.

Kia Ora Folks,

::) I'm guessing it's quite possible some here are just too proud to admit they need help/support...But I could be wrong....One good thing about the net is you can for the most part be anonymous in that one can read different posts/threads that provides them with an insight[possible solution] to the problems they are facing without having to be up front- And there's nothing wrong with that...support is support no matter how it comes about ......

Silver, it looks like you have posted quite a few times, so I'm sure at least some of your posts have in some way helped others-that is you have created food for thought....

I don't know for sure why I'm here. Which kind of explains why I often am not here since I joined :P

I suppose I am curious what other trans people are like?

I don't think I have got rid of the dysphoria fully completely (and that little bit, I feel, will probably always be there), and I do need support (though not a lot these days), but I prefer to draw support from my close friends that I've known for a while.

I find greater freedom living openly transgendered than I do cloaking. Together with my clinical instructors I decided to be open about history towards my coworkers and to stealth in my female identity towards my patients in order not take away focus from *their* situation. This works well and I feel pretty comfortable about being who I am.

I stay here, because I feel community and connection with other transgender people and because many of the threads are really interesting.

Best wishes,
Tippe

I come here to hear about others' experiences and to share my own. It's good to stay in touch with the community, even while not being open about my past. Can't say that the dysphoria is completely gone as I have many physical attributes that I wish were different, but they say that's all part of womanhood anyway. :P

I was told there was going to be a drawing with fabulous prizes.  Was that just another lie?
telka! They told us that 5 years ago! U still waiting for the drawing too!

The "prize" better be "the works" 'cause it's one hell of a wardrobe i'll collected with nowhere else to go!

lol Cheers

Nathan.

I don't really come here for support anymore, I very rarely experience dysphoria these days, my name is legally Nathan, i'm over a year on testosterone, almost 6 months post top surgery, hysto should be coming up and i've been living as male for over 2 years now, so I can apply for a Gender Recognition Certificate. I'm pretty much done with transition now.

I come here as it's a place I feel comfortable in, I don't know any trans people apart from on the internet, so it's nice to have a place where i'm understood and accepted.

I'm here to search my possibilities. I stumbled across this site whilst internet dating...looking for a susan ;D

Now I'm reading up and doing some homework.Others can show how things are done, make the mistakes to an extent. Its bringing me out of my shell.
I've been reading for months.Now I'm venturing.
Maybe I'll need some support of sorts down the track, til then "we"can get to familiar ourselves.

As an old broad I came here to give support.
I have made friends here (enemies too, I guess)
I was glad to support people in the beginning of their journey, I remember how hard it can be once in a while.
