Does coming out ,and beginning transition feel like being a teenager again to anybody else? What I mean by this is does anybody else feel like they are once again trying to find their place in the world. While at the same time figuring out who they are all over again.

I do! And like a teenage girl I am trying to gain some measure of control over my emotions. I am sure it is the estrogen that makes it hard sometimes.

Yes, exactly. I always find myself wondering who I am. I feel like such a useless child. but I'm 24 years old.

God, yes, totally!

This Wednesday, I'll be on HRT for 2 years, and I totally feel like a teenage girl ... though I'm very far from being one.   My all-time favorite singer tells exactly what it's like:

This came out when I was 13 years old.  IMO, nobody emoted the female pathos and pain like Janis ... NOBODY!  To me, she's the greatest female vocalist in rock history.  In fact, she can give the guys (Robert Plant, John Lennon, Freddy Mercury, Joe Cocker, Ronnie James Dio, et cetera) a run for the greatest rock singer, period.  Just my opinion.  She passed away the day before my 15th birthday.  I miss her to this very day.  My YouTube channel is dedicated to her, and I STILL love her.  I think she's beautiful, and I don't care what anybody says to the contrary.

But, yes, definitely.  I DO feel like a teenage girl ... complete with giggling and crying spells too, believe me.

Peace    :)   Lacey
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D

Yes, Absolutely! Kind of almost like reliving your life over and having a second chance at doing things the right way and not making the mistakes that you made the first time in life.

YES YES YES!!!!  My therapist also said it is perfectly normal --- she even had the discussion with my wife and told her to expect it.   My therapist also said it is probably worse than puberty since there is joy this time around as well a strong self of finally being who we are and getting the world to recognize it as well.  She said it was perfectly normal and my wife should cut me some slack
