This sort of made me laugh this morning ...

So it really doesn't matter if the society is patriarchal or matriarchal, power corrupts.  I don't think that second wave feminists are going to like this.  Not one little bit.

:D ;D  Yup!

Listening to Scottish people trying to pronounce the word 'hurl'. Put it this way: in many Scottish accents it has two syllables and rhymes with 'Beryl'

A commercial on TV talks about coating your deck to protect it, but the way she talks sounds like she is saying something other than deck  >:-)

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

I confessed to my friends at work that I was feeling nervous about getting my first shot today.

Their (affectionate) responses?

"Man up!"
"Grow a pair"
and my personal favourite:
"Bend over and take it like a man!"

LOL - I love those ladies! ;D

It's unbelievable. My 105€ (slightly discounted) Squier Strat sounds better and feels much better too than an almost 400€ euros Ibanez

My youngest daughter yelled up from downstairs this morning: "Mum! We need you down here urgently! It's a matter of life or death!!!!1!"

I could tell from her tone of voice that it wasn't really that serious; it sounded more like she'd spotted a spider or something. So I headed downstairs to see what the commotion was... and it turned out to be a moth. Sitting quietly on the floor, minding its own business.

So I was like "Is that all? OK, I'll go & get a glass so I can catch it & take it outside."

To which daughter replies: "OMG, I can't believe you're so nonchalant! That moth is clearly homicidal!!!!"

So yeah, I got to chuckle at my daughter's turn of phrase, and at the thought of man-eating moths.

Some of these things make having kids worth all the turmoil that they sometimes produce in our lives. Some day in the future, this will give you warm smiles as you recall the drama in the man-eating moth episode!  :D

Yes, these moments are pure gold. :D

The scariest thing about man-eating moths? They only come out at night. You never see them coming... ;D

After sitting down with my bowl of cereal I'd got a fork instead of a spoon. I was so tired I couldn't be bothered going back to the kitchen so I ate the "sieved" flakes, then drank the milk from the bowl. A typical start to my day!  ;D

I heard on local radio this morning that the farmer on whose land Teletubbies was filmed became so annoyed at the Teletubbies fans who trespassed on her land to visit the hill where the show was filmed, that she called in the builders, flattened the hill and turned the whole area into a pond. That'll teach those Teletrespassers!

'People were jumping fences and crossing cattle fields,' said 63-year-old Rosemary Harding, who runs an aquatics shop at the countryside location. 'To be honest, we're pleased to see the back of it'

In other news... apparently, people make pilgrimages to a farm where a rubbish TV programme for toddlers was last filmed 12 years ago. Who are these people?

IKR? That yell at the end is one of the funniest things in the history of ever. I can listen to William Shatner 'sing' all day long.

As a treat, how's about a little Bohemian Rhapsody? I was part of the live release of this album a couple of years ago, and this song had me literally falling out of my seat. He's strangely brilliant:
