I was playing this song last night at my Mom's house. My brother was like, "what the hell is that? I would rather hear your Death Metal music than that stuff."

I looked at him in shock and I was, like, "really?".

:D :D :D

I never thought he would say something like that.

My mom thinks that I have lost my mind and become too "obsessed" with the Get Along Gang.

::) ::)

Gee, wonder what would make her think that?  :icon_lol:

Honestly...I have no idea. It's a total mystery to me.

I mean...all I have are several items of them on my computer desk (3 of Dotty, 5 of Portia..although, actually one is of Patricia, Portia's younger cousin that lives in Pine Corners). I only have four plushies of them on my couch (from left to right: Doris Dog, Patricia Porcupine, Dotty Dog, Portia Porcupine.) and I am slowly building a wardrobe for them. I only have a few Dotty and Portia shirts and I only blab about my fanfics in certain family social situations.

Yeah...it's a mystery to me.

And that is exactly what I tell them. They are too hung up on this "age" thing. So what if I am 36? That doesn't mean squat to me.

Hormonally I feel about 8... I really wonder how much that drives these interests.

I feel about 12 to 16 depending on the day and situation at the time.

I don't think it matters much in my case as far as my current interests/obsessions are concerned. Honestly, I only rediscovered the Get Along Gang out of pure chance due to something that happened on another forum. I hadn't even thought about it since 1989ish.

But once I saw the video of the opening credits via Youtube that someone linked (They meant it in a sarcastic fashion because there was a lot of stupid bickering going at the time...and still is...whatever.) But when I saw that again, it honestly felt like running into a long lost pal. It was that level of excitement for me. Yeah, that may sound dumb/cheesy/stupid, etc to some people but I don't care. Once that happened, it all just exploded from there.

No it's not, it may be an obsession of sorts I don't know, but so what? You could be an alcoholic, drug addict or a sex addict, don't worry hon, you're doing just fine and no-one's making fun of you.

I don't care if someone makes fun of me. It's already happened and I just sat back and laughed at what a bunch of worthless fools they were. Besides, most people are quite brave when they have a computer to hide behind.

As far as addictions go: I've been there with booze, done that with quite a few drugs but I never had a sexual addiction. Now...cartoon/music/noise/fic addictions?

Oh yeah....I've got those and got it bad. :D

I was reminded of some various funny from Thanksgiving & Black Friday...

My wife and her brother can get dirty sometimes. They both act pretty cool around me, still, too. The first one should be funny to the general audience... #2, probably just to me.

#1
My BIL came over on Thanksgiving evening (waiting to go to Walmart with my wife -- opened at 1 am around here). I was on Susan's chat. I laughed a few times and I'd just say it was stuff from "chat." My wife was shopping Tea (kids' clothes) online and having difficulty.

When they were finally getting ready to go, he asked what the chat was... and I said it's an IRC kind of room. And he said "oh is it about Tea"

Well... I laughed and said yes... so he asked "like how to brew it and stuff"... "no, not really." ... "It's really about Tea?" ... "Yeah, and E."

He figured it out... I think.

#2
Black Friday evening, my BIL was driving me and my wife home from the blood center (where we both passed out giving blood ;)). They were being a little dirty, but I really can't remember how it came up. Basically they were discussing what I did in my bedroom and seemed to figure it's all porn and masturbation down here.

I told them that really doesn't happen much any more.

I don't think they believed me... people really have a very limited understanding of me... but this one just seemed funny.

CalmRage

a recording of my father's group live in concert. They were so awful, man, with delusions of grandeur and completely stoned. Another reason to stay away from my father........

He's not a bad drummer though. He's actually the only person who sounds halfway decent on it.
The guitar players sound the worst. Completely behind the beat.

When people type defiantly instead of definitely and it totally changes the meaning of their sentence while still remaining a proper English sentence.  I'm defiantly going to do it on purpose more often. Hehehe.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon

Lol.

My dad actually said something funny today. We walked past the cereal section and they have "Adult Cereal" and "Kid Cereal". He goes "Adult cereal? What, is there porno on the box?"

actually yesterday. I was crouching in front of a kid at my internschip because his jacketzip stuck and he decided to cuddle me (as he does often). but since I was crouching and he is a bit uncontrolled I fell over :D It was really funny to me (and other kids).
