My son and I are writing an old-school text adventure game.

We created a lion to roam around the map. While setting attributes for the game object, we came to the gender attribute. My son confidently declared "The lion identifies neither male nor female. The lion identifies hungry."

O.T.: I was writing a scene in my latest fanfic. In the scene, Kathy's phone rings because Portia is calling her. I had written 'Kathy's phone rang from her purse' and then, my actual phone rang. I just thought it was amusing. It was my mom. (She's one of the very few people that call me.) Just the usual small talk is all.

Now...back to the fic.

I went out to my mom's other house that she has out of town last night. I decided to bring along Portia since I can't sleep without a doll anymore.  Normally I sleep with Doris & Patricia but I decided to bring her along instead. When I mentioned that to my mom, she asks me: "How old are you?". Without missing a beat I replied: "I don't know...10..maybe 12."

I never knew this, but Robbie Lee, the person that voiced Zipper Cat on the Get Along Gang, is a woman.  I had no idea until I started looking around at sites about the Get Along Gang and reading up on the rest of the cast. (Ya know...those OTHER than Sherry Lynn. ) But it's really funny to find this out and think about her doing the voice of this alpha male, jock type of character. Especially in the "Camp Get Along" episode where he's constantly going on about how "camping isn't for girls". Meanwhile, he (and the other boys) completely screw everything up.
