i tells pi to be rational. Pi tells i to get real. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

One of my friends told me a very funny joke. He's Chinese and he says his parents are the stereotypical Asian parents and would say, "You got hepatitis B? Why not hepatitis A+?"

These kinda dumb characters in Baccano!
Dallas Genoard, who almost everyone hates, trying to convince Luck Gandor to help him and his men get retaliation against Firo Prochainezo for beating them up. Luck and Firo are good friends. Good luck with that, Dallas.
There's also this gem from the first episode: "The Gandors are just small time, boss. It won't take much trouble to wipe 'em out." The Gandor brothers are immortal.
Oh yeah and it took Isaac and Miria seventy years to figure out that they were immortal.

I was reading up on the amazing lush and sexy film of Romeo & Juliet that Franco Zeffirelli made in the 60's (I really recommend it - DiCaprio, Danes? Pff...) when I came across this item of trivia, which made me nearly wet myself laughing:

"According to Franco Zeffirelli's autobiography, Paul McCartney was originally asked to play the part of Romeo."

I'm still laughing.

The term 'fart-sack', just has a humorous ring to it   But then it was also somewhat triggering because it reminded me of early school years for some reason  :P

Well, both laugh and cringe. I just started reading a Young Adult novel about a US teen ice skater, and it describes him as skating to "Bizet's opera Carmina Burana". Ferchrissakes. They so need me as copy-editor :).

I stop in at the store and the girl working my shift called me a butthole, lol.

Then she told me the telechek machine(it uses thermal paper) was out of ink, lol.

That doesn't sound like a very 'customer friendly' employee  :)   Does she know you work there?

My Iguana loves watermelon, so I'll slice some up to add to her food  :)  Trouble is she tends to gulp her food much like a large dog does and gives herself a brain freeze from eating the cold melon too quickly
Ooh I used to have an iguana named Paco. He ate the same way, and it was pretty ridiculous. I fed him mostly kale.

So what made me laugh today and yesterday is something that happened the day before. It's something I probably shouldn't laugh at. I was downtown and there was a young guy with a pitbull, and there was a blind lady with a cane. She was running the cane back and forth in front of her as blind people do, and the dog got very interested in the ball at the tip. He starts taking that silly stance dogs do when they want to play and then he pounces. OMG. She didn't fall down or anything, just said something curt to the owner. He halfheartedly apologized. I was the only one laughing, but it was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

My boyfriend likened me and my mannerisms to the Jenny Schecter character from The L Word. I just laughed since he hasn't watched the series long enough to know how much that's an insult :P

Haha. I adore Jenny. I have to say I liked her better earlier on as well, before she went batcrap crazy, but even at her craziest I kind of liked her. She has such a unique outlook on the world.

omg, someone else who actually likes her! Most of my friends who watched the show just thought she was a mega-bitch, but she actually had depth to her character. I guess I do have that self-indulgent living in your own head thing going on as well the constant lip-biting.

How twee.

I just love how openly flawed she was. I almost feel like they did her a bit of a disservice, because they could have done SO much with her character. She was so complex and then they just simplified her. Mia Kirshner did an absolutely fabulous job, she really did, both earlier on and near the end.

I'm trying to remember exactly how she went insane. It was a slow progression. I want to watch the whole series again. ;D

Marina and her suicide attempt.

Being filmed and exploited by her new roommate guy triggered her suppressed memory and the "Carnival" sequence in season 2 is a parallel to her sexual abuse as a child.

Then the whole cutting herself up to shreds bit...
what really made her so crazy was the publishing of her memoir, I think. She was told that she sort of had to stop being the victim, and she did, but she instead became a manipulator and abuser herself. Her biggest douchey act was cheating on Max at the end of season 3 and washing her hands of him. That's when everyone just wanted to strangle her from then onward.

What I really liked though was the "chart" storyline in season 3. My friends and I did something along the same lines and it's weird to see that you've sort of slept with most of your friends in 5 degrees of seperation or less O.o

I fancied Jenny - but I'd still love to have one of those teeshirts that said:

I killed Jenny Schechter
And I had help

Meanwhile, on-topic :) - I woke up giggling this morning out of a dream that ended with someone flinging a huge amount of warm rice pudding onto my back.

Check me out, I'm becoming a goose!

Well, according to OSX anyway, which helpfully corrected my email to an old friend today, telling her that I'm going through a gander transition ::). ;D

Thanks, I needed that.
BTW, one of my wife's nicknames (not the nickname of one of my wives, I'm areligious) is Snowgoose; I used to be Snow-gander. Heehee. So I am very familiar with gander transitioning.
Goose luck!
