I was under the impression that when they said "pre-T makeup" they followed one of those tutorials on youtube that are called things like "how to look like a boy" or whatever (can't remember the names) and are basically how to apply make-up to your whole face to look more male.  So, you should show us a photo of you with no makeup at all on.

Here you go:

The only negative to pulling off the look an passing is I'm super short lol (5"7)
So I guess grow it out a little? And that's funny with the suit thing, I want to major in law, suits are naturally what I prefer.

Your eyebrows and facial structure are naturally masculine, take advantage of that!

Super short? There are guys in this forum who don't even hit 5 feet and are 100 lb soaking wet with rocks in their pockets, lol. That is an average height really. I'm an inch taller than you and never get slack about being short.

You do have naturally masculine features that would be well accentuated with the right hair and clothing.

Super short? That's average for guys, so don't worry about it!

I've found myself recently worried about my figure/height and transitioning. Is there such a thing of being "too small" and having super curves once you get top surgery? I don't wanna look like a tiny little twig that's curvy. I'm a gym freak and lift and run daily, so will that help? With height in mind, of course.

You're pre T, correct? If/when you get on T it will redistribute your fat to a more masculine shape. Dysphoria is an evil thing that can distort the way you look to yourself and remember everything takes time. If you're lifting and doing cardio I doubt you'll end up with any curve issues. I'm considering doing the "man sculp" when I get my chest done with Dr. G in a few years if lifting and diet doesn't completely have the desired effect, so there is always that option too.

You're not short.
I'm like 5"2-5"4 and have seen more than a handful of guys around my height.
Sure, it's less common, but as long as you look like a guy, height isn't really going to make people see you as a girl and/or make you pass less.

Are you on T? It should help get rid of your curves after you've been on it for awhile. Check on the main FTM page, there's the topic "New Fat Question" (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,131414.0.html). The guy who posted the picture has been on T for awhile and he doesn't look curvy at all to me.

There's no such thing as "too small," cismales come in all sizes and shapes.

Unless you live in an area where the average height is 6'6" and above, then 5'7" is not "super short".

I also have seen a good number of men my height (5'5") and shorter.  I tend to pay close attention to guys' heights.

Yes I'm pre-T and wow! Whoever did his surgery did a great job! I wish p90x did that for me lol.
It's amazing what changing hormones can do to a body!
And yes, he area is rather short. Every male on my dad's side of the family is over 6"2, whereas my mom's family is rather short. So compared to where I live and my family, I'm considered short short as a male, but tall as a female.

I'm more like between 5"2' and 5"4' and yeah, it's really not that uncommon.
Technically, I'm short for a female, but I'm also obviously not one, so in the end, height doesn't really matter that much to me. It used to bother me a lot for a while, but I got over it because I knew it was something I never really could change.
People complain about being too short, but other than not being able to reach things off of the top shelf, there's not too many disadvantages to it. As far as the dating scene goes, I honestly wouldn't want to date someone who couldn't look past something so superficial anyway.

Is the standard where you are(or family) tend to be taller?

Um, generally speaking my family is avg height. I'm the smallest one! I have some aunts who are a couple of inches taller than me. My brother is only 16 and he's a twig that's like 5"8. And my sisters are about 5"3/5"4. And both of my parents are around 5"5. Lol that's a bit of a big description on my family's height. But I'm the smallest one in my family.

ps. I'm not trans, I'm a significant other. My boyfriend is FtM, and he's only around 5"4, he tells me every day he wishes he was taller lol. I think it's pretty cute, I don't need to break my back just for some kisses!

Aha! No reason to break a back over kisses ever anyway:p
Finding out I'm not as short as I thought I was? Or to know that my height is average is quite comforting.
