The link is now gone, so I do not know who this "Highly intelligent Butch-Lesbian" is, but I understand that she have lifted pics from this board, the FTM-section, and uploaded them on her site, yes?
In what purpous hase she done so? Is she disrespecting the persons on the pics, or is she flattering them or is she just collecting them without saying why?

Unfortunately, anyone that posts a pic on the Web must realize that the pic is now for anyone to use, and if you do not want to risk that, then don't post it.
I do very well understand the frustration that someone just grabs a pic like that, but your are responsible aswell, as an uploader, however if you want to be anonymous, then stay anonymous.
The only circumstances that you can actually do something if someone have used your pic, is if the person either claims to be you, or, if the person is disrespecting the pic. However, in both cases you can only contact the board/s in question that the kook is a member of, you cannot do anything legally about it unless the nature of the action is very serious.

By the way, I personally used a members Pic just the other day in one of the Pass-threads. I had taken the pic from another thread here on Susan's, the Before and after-thread, and uploaded the pic in one of the Pass-threads as an example of how stunningly beautiful the girl in the pic turned out after her FFS(I used it to disprove some of the members claims that FFS is pointless).
All of the sudden, one of the members that wanted something to argue about, got her undies in a twist and wondered what was wrong with me and da da da da da, although I; (1)Used the pic within the same board, and(2) As a positive example and not disrespecting in any way.
But as I had actually not did anything wrong, the Mods did not do anything about it either, to the angry objectors frustration.

So, always try to keep a cool head and try to determine the situation in scenarios like these, so that you know whether you got something "on your feet" regarding the case in question or not.

If you've really never seen Dirt's blog then you have no right to tell us to keep "a cool head".  She is fantastically disrespectful of the entire FTM experience and picks individuals apart like carving a turkey.   She trolls youtube and posts transgender videos on her blog and mocks them to no end.

Everyone has reported her in an attempt to make her act like a decent human being.  All have failed.  She's been threatened with lawsuits and the like but I don't know how they ended up.  She's a sadistic evil human being who refuses to even consider that others might be different from her.   I've never been on her site, so far, but I know others who have.  I understand her message and her fears of misogyny.  That doesn't mean I agree with it.  Everyone is different and that should be celebrated instead of shamed.

She is on par with the worst bullies I've ever meant and she's spreading lies about the FTM community and the people in it.  I have zero tolerance or patience for her and I will not be keeping cool head where she is involved.

I don't think anyone could have said it better. She posted a picture of an INCREDIBLY YOUNG Ftm who I believe is not out yet to family or anything of the sorts. The young FtM does have a youtube channel. But again, I know this kid didn't give this crazy woman permission to put their picture up like that. Why is she attacking young kids now? This is sick. That's the only reason why I posted this thread. She has no compassion or even morals. These are kids she is attacking in her latest blog. It's sick.

Interestingly enough, we've been having ethics discussions in my classes about how we use information on the internet. While it is in the public domain, contextual consent for the use of pics has not been given. Sadly, a violation of ethics doesn't equal lawsuit.

Please excuse me for invading your space here, but your postings had caught my attention and it rang a bell. One of the Shakespearean plays had a passage that went something like, "Thou dost protest too much!" I recall some time ago sitting in a church where the preacher went on tirades against homosexuality on a regular basis, he was so vitriolic in his rants that everyone in the congregation became extremely uncomfortable, his message was in diametric opposition to that of Christ. Eventually it turned out that although he was married with children this preacher had a secret life with dozens of gay young men. I have seen this behavior manifested in both men and women many times since and have taken note that it's a well used behavioral ruse to deflect attention from themselves. So my gut feeling about "Dirt" is that we can make an educated assumption that she is aptly named for the dirt in her own closet! Perhaps someone who has access to her link should tell her that she isn't fooling anyone.

Interesting.
The descriptions of this "Dirt" made me think of Janice Raymond, as they seem so similar to each other and especially their opinions on Transsexualism(I believe Dirt may have read her ramblings), and I also recalled that it have been rumoured, that the reason why Raymond was so aggressive in her attitude and writings towards Transsexuals, was because she had once been very attracted to such people, but had been rejected.
Once again, this is a rumour and not a confirmed fact. But it is nonetheless worth considering as a very plausible cause as such things have certainly happened before.

It's more or less well known that Dirt use to be FTM, or at least strongly considered it.  Then she reconsidered it by deciding that FTM's are just girls looking for male privilege.  She thinks it's disgusting that girls feel they have to change their bodies in order to succeed in a male dominated world.  She illustrates this by posting nude pictures of FTM's against their wishes and pointing out in detail how 'gross' they are to her.  One of her tag lines is, "Change the system, not your body."  That is the whole preface of her blog.

Now in that I can almost agree with her.  Saving that one important point that FTM's are NOT girls who just want to be guys.  They are in fact men and that's why they are transitioning.  Other then that I agree that no one should have to change themselves in order to fit in.  The thing is FTM are not changing themselves but are merely becoming who they are already.  So by insulting FTM's she is going against her own philosophy.  If only she could wrap her mind around that.

Also, yes, many many people have hard the same thought as you Bishounen and Shantel.  Obviously she is hiding or suppressing something huge.  She gets that pointed out to her, often rudely, on a daily basis to the point it's no longer productive or has any effect.

It just bugs me that this women attempts to speak on behalf of EVERYONE in such a sweeping manner.

I guess she would see me as a lesbian woman who is in denial about being attracted to women...or some such rubbish.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought (as Squirrel points out) that the person in question was trying to transition at some point. She (or he) must be twisted up like a pretzel now. I know what it was like for me to do all those mind->-bleeped-<- games on myself, so I ordinarily would feel for such a person...EXCEPT that it's not okay to go out on a petty and vindictive vendetta against an entire group of people just because of your own hang-ups.

Frankly, I don't give a flying fluke what this person thinks, but I do care about what she (or he) does. So this is just another reason for me not to post pics of myself.

While she's antagonistic, I know some folks have been able to get her to remove their pictures/videos/info by sending her a polite email. If you don't react explosively, she tends to be reasonable. Or, well, as reasonable as I've seen her get.

I don't agree with her and think that her body-shaming posts are disgusting, but there's not much folks can do beyond asking her to take your stuff down and just avoid her site.

Stealing of images by others for their own purposes is an ongoing problem.  We had someone that used to be in my club who took images of the deep sky from other sites and was trying to sell them.  These people wanted to know who she was.  I happened to know her back in the 90's and she was trouble back then.  I did a google search of her and found a lot of illegal things (scams) that she did since then and relayed that info back to the owners of those sites.  We then put a sterner copyright warning on our pages.  That still won't stop them, even if you put a watermark in the images.

I thought she had had a partner who ended up transitioning FTM? Or maybe I'm imagining that.

Good one, but not quite.  Golddigger is the word that described her.  She married an older fellow with money a year before she left the club and contact with us.  He evidently left her.  She tried to sue the hospital because her anorexic daughter died of pregnancy complications, the lawsuit and the appeal failed according to records I read.  Her home was foreclosed on and she was a victim of a debt consolidation scheme to prevent foreclosure.  There was a newspaper article on that I read in my search.
She was on the news several months back on why she's living in a trailer and parking it in a state park or off to the side somewhere.  How sad.

By simply Googleing someone's name.  Do your's first.  The woman I googled had a more unique name than the rest of the population, her only dopplegänger, same age, lives on the east coast with no criminal or legal problems.  If you know that person's name, age, location or locations they've been, those are a good clues.  The more clues about a person the better the search.  There are a lot of "John Smiths' out there, you have to determine which one.  You may find some verrry.... interesting things about yourself.

I have googled her full name and not found much. Oh well, whatever her life story is she seems unhappy.

I googled myself and the only things that pop up are my $10 donation to my friends Movember page and my email contact info on the grad website for my uni. Sweet.

Caseyyy,
You're young.  As life goes on, the detritus of your life will be recorded here on the internet or other information sources, some of those sources not invented yet.  We all should be careful what we all do these days.  Some of those cool, neato things you did while you are younger may come to bite you in the arse when trying to get a job or a security clearance.  It is employers' choice these days of a depressed economy, they will do background checks on you.  Their in house staff or an external agency will do that, using keywords in the search you might never think of to glean any information on you.  Sometimes your boss may do a check on you.
One manager just simply went into his office and actually checked on one of his 'sick' employees on his computer station.  He had the list of websites he visited from the company's computer and picked a YouTube one.  He saw his employee in drag making fun of the company, his manager, and other employees.  The time downloaded was just an half hour before.  This one actually got press several years ago.  This fellow really got razzed when he showed up for his pink slip.  Take it easy on Facebook, twitter, YouTube and the other social site.  You cannot delete fast enough on those sites before someone mirrors that entry.

Anytime some one from Craigslist email me the first thing I will do is run their email through Facebook and the internet and see who this person is and what they like, what they do, what they look like etc.  There's a 50/50 chance something will pop up.

Back to the topic at hand I just got done rading some of her blogs and I must say they do poison the mind.

Yes, being born in early 1950's, I seen that change with the technology.  There were hidden mics and phone wiretaps at the time, otherwise it was your word against another.  Those recording devices were clunky and expensive and used vacuum tube technology.  You had to prove otherwise that the subject talking is the one under investigation, the audio quality was poor in those recordings.  Sometimes a warrant was needed.  It was like that until the 1970's when technology was good enough to record better with more sensitive equipment that didn't really cost that much.
In the 1980's the first cordless phones for the house were out.  All you needed was a Bearcat or Radio Shack scanner to pick up phone conversations of your neighbors or from those wireless baby monitors.  I worked on both brands, they can pick up those frequencies with no modifications.  I also worked on the the baby monitors, the tiny wireless mics and the old analog cellphones and all you had to do is snip a certain diode in a certain model of scanner to receive cellphone conversations, which was illegal.  You can pick up conversations, even though that system was trunked.
That was how Newt Gingrich got his tit in the ringer that was one of the causes of him dropping down as House leader.  Newt said something over the cellphone not good that a couple with Democratic ties picked that up with their modified scanner and sold the recording of that to the press.  It was the trial by press and not the legal system that done Newt in.  What that couple done was illegal, but they got off with nothing.  The couple plead that they didn't know how the cellphone system worked and bought the scanner used.  You would have to know how that model of scanner worked to pick up a trunked system conversation and record it properly.
One thing that still is true, an oral contract legally isn't worth the paper it is written on.  Even recorded on video.
