Okay, so this happened while walking home from the mall with two friends.
We were walking on the side where traffic faces you.
Anyway, this car full of people drove by us and one of the passengers threw a full bottle of Pepsi at me; it just missed my head.  They were speeding so there wasn't anything I could do.
I looked back at their car speeding down the street and one of them was staring
At me from the back seat, nasty lookn their face.

I gave them the middle finger in rerturn...it was the last I saw of them.
So that you know, I was wearing MEN'S clothing.  I'm about a 27" waist now, and the pants I am wearing could be mistaken for women's because of the shape of my legs and my wider than usual hips.  My top is a black t-shirt that is a little snug.
And my hair was styled as masculine as I could muster, considering it is growing out longer now.

It made me angry and hurt at the same time...so many jerks out there who know squat about being trans and full of hate.

I pitty THEM.

I get the feeling it would not of mattered who you were, they would of thrown a bottle at you.

It is horrible to experience such violence. I'm glad you are safe.

Thanks, I guess it might not have mattered who I was.  At least it wasn't some big scary dude down a dark alley !

Sorry to hear :( Unfortunately, theres scumbags in every corner of the world. Nice to see them speeding away in their car too - real men , eh?

As the others mentioned, at least it was all talk and nothing further happened and you weren't seriously hurt  :) . Hopefully you'll feel above this contemptible behaviour and feel much better. All the best

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you, hon. Like Nicky said though, I don't think it was so much to do with you being trans as it was more to do with them being reprobates. *big hug*

You can take some comfort in the fact that some point down the road, you'll be happily living your life, holding your head high, while they will inevitably take their moronic antics a step too far and end up in either a jail cell or worse. They aren't even deserving of your pity. The best thing you can do is treat them with the obscurity they deserve and forget they exist.

I agree, it doesn't seem like it was a trans issue at all. Just idoits out in a car. They would have probably picked on anyone.

I have a friend who fully transitioned about 17 years ago and she told me about some kids who shouted ->-bleeped-<- at her as they went past in a passing car. I don't think this has happened to her before and I think someone who lives nearby must have informed them she was trans because it's not obvious.

Sorry to hear this happen to you although it sounds like a random act from a ->-bleeped-<- to me.

I agree too.  Some people are just too stupid and ignorant to be morons.

Sorry to hear this but I also think it was just a bunch of roadkills in a car and picking you at random.

I have had two incidents with idiots. Not related to trans issues. One when a car came through a red light as I was turning, he spat at me, he also forgot that his window was up so he had spit all over his window. Second an Indian student of mine was at a bus stop and a car went past and some one threw a beer can at him. He is a very keen and talented cricketer (as many Indian people are it is their National sport), he caught the can, that was unopened, so he had a free beer.

Some people out there that are a long way down the food chain.

You were lucky. If they have that sort of mindset then it is best not to provoke them further. Besides why do you care what they think enough to give them the Honour of the Middle Finger? Leave them to their nasty, brutish and (probably) short and unfulfilling lives.

Am I the only one who thought, "Free Pepsi!"?

It's an unfortunate thing to happen, but if they were speeding, I doubt they singled you out as trans, and picked something to throw, all in that little timeframe. It sounds random.

 One of my brothers was in town last night waiting for a taxi home when some drunken troglodyte (for lack of a better word!) shouted out of a passing taxi window, "Hoi mate! You dropped $20!" as some kind of 'joke'. For whatever reason, my brother crossed the street and found a $10 note lying in the gutter beside the sidewalk! So he 'thanked' the drunken douche and enjoyed a free ride home!

I am so very sorry you had to go through that. It just makes me so upset and gets under my skin that people are like that. Just stay strong and know each and everyone of us on here is your friend! :)

yes, do pitty them, because they are scumbags, and they will always be that. the best they can do is be hateful, and their ego is short lived.
