sorry just feeling lonely in a bad way, gonna go to bed and have a good cry i think, ya know i stay active trying to help others, so why has He cursed me to be alone like this? sorry just a bad night ahead 

sorry i didn't mean to sound pathetic - i just hate holidays where people can be themselves and have fun...

tomorrow will be better i guess, I pray others enjoy the day

I know what you mean, Billie.  I am not particularly happy around holidays ether.  This year the park I live in is having a 4th of July BBQ.  I am going to take my bacon mac and cheese and try to enjoy myself.

I'm just working, I have customers wanting their projects done and others waiting in line, I don't really mind though, it's peaceful quiet here at my place and the traffic headed up the hill to Lake Tahoe looks brutal....best to stay put

 I'll be doing nothing today. No celebrations; for the most part, holidays don't mean all that much to me. I'll just be on my computer, in all likelihood, and if I hear fireworks... then that would be nice.

One of the great benefits from my TG group is the open family atmosphere.  You really have to go out of your way to be alone for any holiday. Especially the biggies like Thanksgiving or Christmas, even New Years. One of the harsh realities of being trans is loosing family and friends. Many in our group look at us all as one extended family

I 'get' to spend the whole day working so I get to spend the day making sure others have a wonderful night. Which means I'm going to be enjoying the 4th vicariously through everyone else

Home alone in Michigan, but must do yard work and clean weeds out of the cracks in the sidewalk.

Big stuff going on in this small town (500 people).  Parade at 3:00pm, a bunch of games and races for kids, and fireworks at night.  Bar-b-q contest, tours of the new brewery and winery (with samples).  Great family stuff, but since I'm a loner anyway, this living up on a hill with a front porch has advantages for watching the fireworks.

On Saturday Tahoe traffic was also bad.   The traffic was o.k., but I stopped to collect a birthday gift at Redhawk, and after wasting time loosing money, drivers from the bay area caught up to me.

Well, for me, I just finished my modest July 4th meal and I am headed to the ballpark where I work for some baseball and fireworks.

I may be on my own for this holiday, but seeing all those other people having fun makes me smile.

I can't remember the last time I celebrated the 4th of July but I think it was about 20 years ago.  My life is one of stark loneliness.  I feel it even more being unemployed.
