Just had haggis with my wife's veg mix, potato, carrot, parsnip, all mashed!

It was so good.

I've made a Tikka Masala with chunks of Quorn chicken-style fillets, peppers, onion and sultanas. In a bit, I'll be cooking up some long grain rice to go with it. I'm going to have it with a nice big glass of Argentinian Torrontes (though, to be honest, I've been sipping on that for 2 hours already).

Tonight, I made garlic lemon chicken, sticky rice, and broccoli. Easy, fast, and good.

I made a hamburger. I decided to be a little creative and put ground chili peppers in the beef. Then I put it on a bun, and added pepper jack cheese, lettuce, onion, jalapenos, and bacon. Except that wasn't really hot enough, so I sliced up a few habaneros and put them on. And a glass of chocolate milk. Pretty good.

Now that sounds like an amazing hamburger! I love spicy food!

I had my first shot at French cuisine tonight. Success!

I made garlic & herb tortelloni in a blue cheese, shallot and walnut sauce, paired with a bottle of lovely Californian Viognier from my wine club. The fruitiness of the wine cut through the saltiness of the cheese very nicely.

I'm going to cube a steak I have in the freezer, throw it in a pan, and add some sliced mushrooms n' onions. Think I'll steam a bag of brussel sprouts to go with it. Sounds good.

What is dirty rice?

Tonight it's ground beef, onions, garlic, jalapenos and rice seasoned with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, thyme, parsley, paprika, chili powder, Italian seasoning, a few drops of red wine vinegar, and a nice splash of the wine. It's resting now, I'll be eating in a few minutes.

So, is dirty rice basically rice with stuff in it?

I am cooking venison steak tonight along with whatever else I find in the fridge.

I think basic dirty rice is made using the water a chicken has been boiled in. The bits of floating chicken and yellow color of the water "dirty" the rice. I make it different ways depending on what I have, that's why I said tonight.

Venison steak? Here, have some dirty rice, Swords, I'm eating with Brooke!
