Kirey, I think the voice is ok. You did not say a lot, so I dont know about the prosody, but I think resonance is rather good and pitch is ok to my ears

Omg! Everyone is doing so well! I am going to go through all 50 pages soon! I love hearing people's progress!

And here's my little rambling recording of my voice. Forgive me. lol! http://vocaroo.com/i/s1s8bw4Fuyw4

Sounds a little deep to me but you have good prosody, I think you will do very well with just a little work  8)

Your voice sounds very feminine to me.

Tell me what yal honestly think. My voice started at around 85hz 95hz average. So I have made a lot of progress. Thanks in advance for yals opinion.

85 Hz average? Thats almost inconceivable! It would be below bass range... The low end with me is at that range but since the voice always goes up and down, the average is higher

Sorry I meant 95Hz. If you want specifics my starting average was 96.26Hz and I'm currently at 243.3Hz. Or that's what praat tells me.

Any comments? No one has given a opinion of my voice.

Honestly, I think you are talking too high, too much pitch, so it sounds falsetto. It just sounds kinda fake to me, sorry. I think if you lowered the pitch a bit it would help you out a lot though, would sound more natural.

Sorry for the crummy reply, I saw it before but didn't wanna say it, but since nobody else replied I did.

Wow you sound great!

I wish I could sound femanine :C
my falsetto isn't thay high.

Some honest feedback would be awesome.

I know the pitch is fine. I used to sound super fake and forced when I spoke that high but I sorted that out and am just really working on resonance. I don't know if it is quite there. ANyway I can take it if you have bad stuff to say, please do, I need to know. I am too shy to do it in front of people I know and ask them.

Ssssooooooooo.... here we go with this.  Let's see what you all think about it.  :)

I realized at the end of this clip that I had recorded the entire thing on one breath... so I sound really strained about 3/4 of the way through.  Durrr....  I thought I would keep it that way.

Sounds decent, you are right though, it does sound strained at the end. Prob cause you ain't breathing.   :P

I think maybe you could improve your resonance a little. It sounds to me at least, and I am no specialist that a little of the more harsher syllables sound less feminine than others, but overall good. I suspect you will sort that out just continuing to practice whatever you are doing.

Your voice sounds very feminine. You don't sound strained to me at all except for a little near the end. But you've explained that. All in all IMHO you sound great!

kristina - I think you should not push it that far up. If your original voise is at 100 Hz, better aim for something in the 180 Hz range, it will sound more natural than to go way above 200 Hz. Also I think at that range it would be easier to concentrate on resonance more

Sears - i think it sounds feminine, but its super breathy. You need to gasp for air every few words. Maybe add a bit more "squeeze" to the voice. Although breathy is not that bad, its better than squeezing too much.

Delsorou - that was all one breath? You must have gigantic lungs - but then maybe it can be true, since you are squeezing a lot and that makes the voice go longer with the same breath, but it also has a bit of a harsh sound to it. I think it sounds female, but it has that twangy sound to it. I think if your voice and Sears' voice would mix, it would be perfect :P - more breathyness for you and more twang for her ;) - I did similar things and using too much squeezing/twang can be harsh on the vocal chords

Everyone here sounds so fantastic I figured I'd throw in a sample of my voice after a couple of months of practicing.

Sorry if it sounds a bit stilted, I try to counteract the spanish accent by enunciating as much as possible @_@
I'd love to hear what I could do to improve on it!

Thank you so much!

I think that voice sounds OK Fairyhime, overall I think the recording was pretty good. Listen back to the recording though some parts were slightly less good, in as much as my amateur ear can tell. Maybe I am wrong but try listen to when you first say "colours" and that horizon bit just before 24 seconds. I think you will hear what I mean? Either way you sound a lot better than I did after just 2 months. I cringe when I hear my recordings from then.

Anyway I been workin on my voice a bit on and off, or just singing along with stuff. I am slowly developing a bit more control. I think in this recording I have arrested the breathy-ness to some degree, however I really do think my mic emphasis my breathing in, it is not actually so loud in real life. I would really appreciate an opinion on this voice. I think it sounds more natural than the last one.

Yes... and sadly a ribcage big enough for them.  :P  I tried to do one where I added a bit more breath to it, but I can't tell if there's any difference...

Thank you so much! I listened to it again with what you said in mind and there is definitely a dip during those moments. Definitely need more practice to avoid those ^^

Naturally I don't feel good enough to really give proper feedback for the clip you posted (to me it sounds fantastic all over and I wouldn't doubt for a second), and I'm sure others here can give better feedback

..... but I do want to mention that I freaking love your accent!
It actually makes me wish the recording had been longer.
