I had a friend make a momentous life decision.  I applaud their courage.

I am the tallest person (out of about eight) working in my current pharmacy.  The next tallest is a guy whom I have at least a couple inches on.  It's a small, weird ego boost, but I'll take it.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

A blah blog

I just found this picture I thought I'd lost forever. NW Coast art (love it) otter. I want to be her. Failing that, one day, a tattoo...

Thank you for reminding me how awesome otters are! Though for me its a toss-up between otter and water-ouzel, if I could be a beast right now or in life-to-come. I might take otter because mammals live longer and have bigger brains, but-- living in a waterfall and flying underwater? That's already the life I live so... no adjustment period. :) Otters, more social; Ouzels - BI-FLIERS. Hmmm....

Otters play :D.

Meanwhile, happy anniversary to me - a year on hormones. It's like a long engagement.

I got stopped in a corridor by a work colleague who I hadn't seen for a while. He says, " I heard you had come out out FT, well done, is everything OK" me 'I've never been happier after a life time of struggle'. Well that's the impt thing. " XX said you had changed your name to XXXXX Cindy?" "Yess XXXXX is still cute and keeps a link to my track record etc" He asks "which do you prefer to be called?"  "Either I don't mind but my friends call me Cindy" " Well I hope I can have the privilege of calling you Cindy as well"

Of we go our separate ways

I drove a friend of mine who is FTM to the hospital this morning to have his top surgery. Stayed with him until he left for surgery. So excited!

Ta :). And the icing on the cake is that I've made an executive decision to stop going to the unsupportive and heteronormative 'pre-op support group' I was meant to be attending this evening, and go to a singing evening instead :D.

Ah yes. So early and I am so tired but it was totally worth it. ;D as I'm sure most people remember Keaira's computer has been broken for like a month. -_-

I also love Rain(e). :) I hope we get some more before winter. Lol.

Having my day totally derailed when a very dear friend of mine told me she has had her GCS date confirmed for 15th July next year with this "spunky" new guy in Melbourne. Apparently he is like a big cuddly teddy bear. More news as it breaks. I just may have to get a referral to see this 'god'

Appears he has studied under Dr. Marci Bowers, among many.

Seeing that Ave got rid of that avatar of the guy smoking out of his nose. Gross.

Also, I have a ton of food in my fridge and I'm the only on home. More for me. Mwahahaha.  >:-)

I had an interesting experience today. At the bus station some random woman asked if she could bum a smoke, my lighter had stopped working so I was happy to offer one up in return for a light :P

There was some small talk while we smoked and then she came out with "sooo I'm just gonna go ahead and ask, are you a lesbian? Straight? ....trans?"

It totally knocked me sideways for someone to be so forward and I could tell she wasn't asking in a nasty way, I think she wanted to ask me out and wanted to be sure she wasn't barking up the wrong tree :D so I just told her I'm trans, recently started hormones, and in a happy relationship with a man.

She just said "oh! Well good for you! It crosses my mind at times but I think I'm happy just being butch. It shouldn't be too long now until you start seeing changes from the hormones, are you excited?" and we had a little chat about the changes, when she finished the smoke, she wished me the best of luck with my transition, told me I could keep the lighter and went on her way.

It felt so nice to have a casual conversation with a stranger about being trans, made me wonder if being stealth would be such a big thing if that kind of attitude was more widespread.
