Roasted a large piece of choice beef in a dutch oven last night with carrots, onions, and potatoes, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce, swimming in beef stock and dark Guinness. Delicious! I'm giving Nigella a run for the money on cooking skills, alas she has me beat with her other fabulous assets ~sigh~

Sounds so good.

Hope you had enough Guinness to have a tipple. I really miss draught Guinness.

Dutch oven. LMAO. I'm willing to bet one of Keaira's dutch ovens could roast a large piece of choice beef, peeyew.

I'm confusing the devil out of people. I went to collect my wife from her nursing home to take her out for lunch. She introduced me to a new staff member as her husband. The staff member just said "she's your husband?" >:-)

Ummm-well Gee, what can I say that she hasn't? You weren't her wife going into the relationship, perhaps she could have said, "This is my life partner." Could you perhaps gently coach her on that issue so that sort of uncomfortable thing doesn't happen again?

Just bought a faceted-ruby-looking pendant thing on eBay :). I'm not one for girly jewellery, but I do like sturdy fake gemstones.

Thanks, I have something similar that's an "emerald", but I'm wearing a lot of crimson lately, and so...

Keaira and I chatted until a record late this morning. 7 am my time/9 am her time (she has the day off so it's OK). It makes me happy that she has finally fixed her PC and we can have our nightly chats again. I have found a friend who can make me laugh, think, and smile every day. Someone I feel I can trust completely. That is pretty hard to come by. Most nights I don't want to fall asleep just yet, but I get so exhausted that I fall asleep on webcam and she never judges me for it. :P She just plays nice music on the youtube app for me. I feel very lucky to have someone like that in my life, and that makes me happy too.

Sly

An old friend of mine from when I lived in Oregon is here visiting in Seattle.  He's the first other transguy I ever met and we have a lot in common, like the same things, used to use drugs together but are now both sober, and it's great!  We went to the aquarium today.

Traivs

Sly I haven't been to that aquarium in years even though I live only 1-2 hours away seeing that post makes me want to take a trip down there this weekend lol

I had the day off slept in and read for a bit and my son was pretty good even got grocery's :)

I dressed like a pirate yesterday. It was a little awkward due to what I had available, but I think it turned out well.
I also went for a walk with a new friend.

So I was wearing my hoody, just left work not prettied up at all.  So I was walking with my dad, and a guy we know from the building asked if I was his daughter!  I totally played coy since I was with my dad and well I haven't told them yet but I was doing the hole Sakura from Naruto inner head thing "HELL YES":

I did have a little fun with it, I asked for a pink car to me in my mailbox by midnight xDDD, so being that my father doesn't know we laughed a bit and I am like I really dont care -coy coy- xD
