Thats sweet. I actually have a great reduction I use to get better. It is a chicken base, and totally gets rid of just about anything.

Get well Brooke, we'll be looking forward to Sunday with the ladies!

It was last night, but I got home late.

I went to visit my genderfluid offspring, Your Humble Savant, at their uni where they were part of a info-drama thing called GenderQueer & A. There was a short skit, a discussion group, and a panel discussion. I was the only non-student who was on the panel, and the gender-variant folks out numbered the cis* folks.

Go to this link. It is very similiar to what I use, but I add more garlic, some white mushrooms, and an absurd amout of crushed red pepper (the spice makes the nose run like crazy!).  I also boil it for an hour as apposed to 30 min. That makes it more concentrated, and thus more potent. Oh, and I drink it when it is super hot, like almost burn your mouth hot.

Warning:  This can give you some nasty gas!

Yummy! That's how much garlic I used to use when I was single and ailing.

My wife can't tolerate garlic well, so I use much less garlic than the recipe, but I substitute a few ounces of ginger, preferrably fresh grated, but powder is ok too. In east asia, ginger is used along with hot peppers to clear the sinuses and to treat colds. The stronger the better. My soup includes a whole chicken, not just broth, so is chunky like me. ;)

Oh yeah, I forgot I put in fresh grated ginger as well.

There are some decent cheap wines on the market. A $400 bottle doesn't mean that it hasn't turned to vinegar!

I found the music video to 'skyfall' rather amusing. I like the song but seriously did they make that video on Microsoft PowerPoint or what?

So today I was at work and I was talking with a couple of coworkers (one of which knows that my significant other will soon be transitioning mtf) and the subject of gay marriage came up. The girl that doesn't know was asking a few questions (she had a rough up bringing from a very prejudiced family) and somehow it came up that I am pansexual. I said to her, 'yeah, honestly it wouldn't matter to me if -significant others name here- was a boy or a girl, I'd love him no matter what cus we just click' and she said 'omg, he would make a pretty girl!!'. Omg, me and the other lady just busted out laughing, and I was like.. yep, he would!! It was just so cute that she said that and it put a smile on my face  ;D
