Jokes make me happy, Liam. I never even saw it.  :P

Here's another good joke: "I was going to tell a narcolepsy joke, but... *snore*"

We went to a friend's house for Christmas dinner and my son was giggling with glee from playing with the dog. He also got to see a lot of animals.

Animals are good for the soul. According to reliable medical studies, having furry pets lowers your blood pressure!

I really miss having a cat. Himself won't let me have one.

A fine red wine made me happy today. Also, the fact I knew when to stop and doing it, rather than self-destructing and having more.

Without my animals, I'd be a heart attack waiting to happen. :P  High blood pressure runs in the family.  I should negate that by all of the fuzzy critters I have. XD

And...I saw "The Dark Knight Rises" tonight.  Finally.  I loved it!

I also didn't have to go to mass [thank my gods for that] this season.

Going to the shops for boxing day sales and picking up some new clothes that actually fit and I like, and what sealed the deal was a little jar of guitar shaped paper clips on sale. They were $2 but made my day XD
Labels are for clothes and towels and making sure you don't leave your luggage at the airport. You dont call clothing a "calvin", its still a pair of jeans. A person is a person. They can be white or black or foreign or straight or gay or in a wheelchair, yet they are still a human being.

Went and saw my ex today, long sad story, and gave her some presents, chocolates and booze, no use getting her anything else. She was very happy to see me which was good. Made me feel happy as well.
Her parents gave me a nice picture of her as I have very few. Shame it was post accident as I saw a picture of us at her brothers wedding pre the accident. I forgot how beautiful she is and looked on that day. :icon_cry:

It is frightening how so much of ones life can change in an instant.

Take care everyone.
So long and thanks for all the fish

I felt more alive and connected than I have in a long time.

I figured out how to check my grades online. I have an A in both geology and math (I have no idea how I managed that) and a B+ in psychology.

Way to go Edge, we'll be vicariously proud of you! My granddaughter is a drop-dead beauty and holding a perfect 4.00 GPA. Her other grandpa left her a trust fund to cover full tuition for four years in the the college of her choice. She sure didn't get her brains from my side!

I got a good start on a letter for my Dad explaining about my gender dysphoria. I'm still not satisfied, but, I'm closer than I was when I started composing it. I'll be even happier when I can finally come out to him. Besides a handful of friends, he's the last one I want to tell.

I finally got up the nerve to tell a couple friends (their sisters). They know I have something huge to tell them, but not what. I'm sure they think this is the "I'm gay" talk. Just waiting on us all to agree on a time and place to talk.

Dr. Sam Westrick.

I went to see him today for the first time. He spent 45 minutes talking to me and answering my questions about HRT. He made me feel a whole lot better about the whole thing. He took a blood test, and if the results come back without problems he's going to give me prescriptions for finasteride, spironalactone, and estradiol.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I've officially switched over to injections as of today.

It was harder than I expected to stab myself in the thigh. But I did it, and now I am on my own unless I need the support of the nurse again. I don't think I will...it was just mind over matter.

I went out and got some new clothes today. I spent $31 and saved $100 by buying on sale!

My brother got me a chocolate bar that weighs 1 kg for Christmas.

I honestly...I don't even know what to do right now. It is HUGE.

I'm feeling very pleased with myself (sorry, blowing my own trumpet, but I need to squeal a bit). My young just-coming-out trandrogyne friend thinks he's too shy and scared to do anything... but in the last week I've cajoled/encouraged him into joining a really friendly and relevant forum where he's safely blossoming, and he's just emailed a local gender support centre - and it's him doing all this, and that's just so cool! :D :D :D

My wife and I visited my sister at her new place. I'm really happy for her because she's in the place she's
always wanted to live.
