Having a totally awesome time at the Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart with my girl.  Topped off by a cruise on the barque "Enterprize", replica of the boat used by Melbourne's founders, on the Derwent for 2 hours.

I've been referred for top surgery! *squeals* :D

....and apparently, the average waiting list is around 10 months. I assumed it would be WAY longer than that....like years longer.

I'm over the moon at the thought that my chest could be gone by this time next year.

Major congrats, Jeatyn.  Always great when a guy is so happy he squeals!

Congratulations are in order!!

What made me happy today was I have befriended a lady here at the nursing home who resembles my Nana so much so that I adopted her as my Nana. She is 99 years young and the most open minded person of her generation I have ever met. I am playing against her a game of words with friends on face book and we converse once in a while through the game. Well she just told me that I am her adopted grand daughter.

Grats Jeatyn.

Malachite you are a true winner. ;D

I'm happy because I love being alone in the night. Everything's quiet, the phone doesn't ring, nobody knocks on the door, nobody needs me for anything. I should probably cut it out and get some sleep though.

I forgot to mention this yesterday.

I started singing along to something yesterday and my partner was like

DUDE, YOUR VOICE, IT'S SO DEEP WHEN YOU DO THAT

Of course this made me want to sing more to show it off :P for some reason it doesn't sound that deep when I talk normally. I assume it's because I'm controlling my breath more when I sing and concentrating more on the pitch. It sounds weird and fake when I try to talk in the same tone though...I don't know if it actually sounds fake or if I'm just not used to it.

Our gas engineer has finally agreed to fix our boiler tomorrow. :)

We've been without hot water & central heating for nearly 3 weeks now. I've had enough of filling umpteen kettles so my family can take turns to use the same shallow bath of luke-warm water. I'm also heartily sick of wrapping us all up like a family of burritos to stave off the sub-zero temperatures.

Yay! We shall soon be warm again! :)

That's good news! Sometimes adverse conditions brings families closer together and then all wind up appreciating the things we take for granted each day.

There's closeness... and then there's sharing the same bath water that three other people have used before you. :P

Had a perfect end to a very long day yesterday. On the two mile walk from the train last night at 1 am, I put my headphones on and sang along to the entire CD of "No Angel" by Dido. It was nice to know that i am happy to be on my own, and that I can sing soprano at the top of my lungs while my legs chew up the hills. I am no angel. But that doesn't mean that I can't live my life. ;D

Oh, lovely one, I'd love to, but I'd get in ever so much trouble. I have a hell of a lot of wine at home though, you are welcome to come help me with it any time ;).

I'd love to but I'd have to check with the little missus and even though you're going FtM I'm sure she'd pound my ass!
