Sarah Blomsterhatt

It seems like I pass pretty much everywhere now. Today I was not putting any effort into it at all, I did not think how I walk, talk, dress (brown and camogreen baggy pants and a hoodie.) and everywhere, everyone I talked to today (I had quite the busy day already, been all over the place.) saw me as a girl and never thought twice about it.

That made me really happy, and I'm starting to realise that both my face and voice actually pass, things which I never believed before. So in my excitment I called my ex girlfriend and asked her out for pizza this weekend because I haven't seen her in ages and I wanted to meet her. She said yes, and also when I told her how happy I was that people saw me as a lass she was not suprised in the least, and said something along the lines of "you got that down." like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

So I'm really happy today. :)

As a bonus heres a image of me from last night when I went to see a excellent musical, I was super tried and never felt comfortable with pictures but here it goes.. (Hopefully I manage to link the image.)

Today is a good day.

That's a pretty dress, Sarah. You remind me of Joni Mitchell :).

I was thinking the same thing. But Sarah like a young Joni Mitchell.

I just realized I can watch full In Extremo concerts on youtube. I wonder if it's possible to get their stuff in my country.

Found out one of my best friends from school was offered an internship with Target today. I'm super excited for him, and now I'm hoping I get calls back from the businesses I put my resume in at during the career fair on Wednesday. Cross your fingers that my voice behaves this week.

Oh wow!! today just gets better & better, I have my Poopie back (I want a megaphone to shout this from the rooftops)

Then because my benefits have been delayed till Monday I had a choice of the Salvation army or my mum for getting food, I was reluctant to phone my mum as I didn't want her to know about my depression as I was worried she'd twist it round to be a reason I shouldn't transition, I bit the bullet & called her, she came round with food for me & Poopie, she then took me shopping & bought me £50 of food, thank you mummy.
I decided to tell her about my state of mind (I downplayed it a bit so she wont worry too much), she was supportive & didn't twist it.
She avoided using either my old or new name but so long as she doesn't use the old name i'm happy.

For the first time in weeks I have a big smile.

EDIT: As I read that through to check for spelling mistakes I started to cry, not tears of sadness but tears of relief & joy

Today is truly a good day to be alive

I now have an appointment scheduled with a gender therapist.  this makes me happy. ;)

Unfortunately, it's at the end of April.  Patience is not a virtue I have been blessed with,  I hate the anticipation which leads to anxiety.  :(

Is this your first visit, if so then you'll have to learn patience my young padawan.
The wait between these appointments always drags on, the last few days before going seem to take weeks but you'll soon be there.
On the day of my first visit the waiting for months took years to pass but when sat at the clinic my memory felt like the time had flown (i'm not entirely sure that makes sense)

Yes this is my first visit to the therapist.  Unfortunately your description of the wait passing slowly and then seeming to have flown by is something I do understand.  I've experienced that exact time dilation for lack of a better word, on many many occasions.  In fact that is where the anticipation leads to the anxiety and ultimately to sleepless nights for me. :)

Caleb was asking me about a movie that I showed him a while back that freaked him out.

Caleb: it had like TV's and people coming out of them. you were making the sounds from it.

Me: eeeeeeeeeeehhhh

Caleb: No, no. That's the Grunge.

Me: *Laughing my butt off* You mean, the Grudge?

Was I making the sound of the dying cries of 90's Grunge music?
