I saw that and I was tempted to change my screen name to Jaime D, but I didn't want to confuse people any more than I already do, lol.

What's that you were saying?

I am officially booked to give a two hour seminar, for continuation education credit, to the annual conference of the Oregon Association of Licensed Electrologists in April. Apparently I am considered an expert on business and professional ethics, client rights, client privacy, and respecting gender and sexual diversity. Highlight of the session will be a chance to hear from, and ask questions of, a real live transgender woman who is also an electrology client.

I bought my first pair of men's jeans. :)

Not only did I get to use the men's changing rooms for the first time without any hassles (okay, I got a slightly weird look but so what?), but I actually had to leave the changing room, fetch a new pair in a different size, and go back in again.

So my happies were as follows:

  • Find a nice pair of men's jeans
  • Try them on in the men's changing rooms - twice
  • Get a smaller size because I've lost some weight
Woohoo! :)

Caleb made me happy. I don't think he gives a better pep talk than me, but he manages to keep my spirits up anyway. He did his T shot yesterday and he did it right. I know with time and practice he will get better at it. But I'm really proud of him. I know I couldn't do the shot. lol.

Thanks Shantel - I must admit I did a little happy dance when I got back to my office! :)

I got a new tutor for three of my classes this week. We had like one week of classes with the original tutor... then he went on the sick and since then we've had various random people from different departments who don't really understand the material running the classes.

I really like him ^_^ he's a good teacher and not bad to look at either :P

I really feel like I'm learning something at last, and not just muddling through and hoping for the best.

A guidance counselor at the school where I work took me aside and told me a transgender student is transferring into our school on Monday. She's going to bring him to meet me (because I'm the Gay/Straight alliance sponsor. They don't know I'm Trans).
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

That's terrific!

It's that time of the year for me too. I had an ecology exam yesterday, and botany and genetics today. I don't think I got 100% on any, but I probably did ok.

I am quite happy to have them done.

A friend woke me up at 2pm with a phone call (that didn't make me happy), she came round to use my shower then dragged me out to the pub for a few drinks, under normal circumstances i'd not talk to many people but due to having Poopie with me I had loads of people coming up to stroke him & chat.
I know I don't pass but went out en femme anyways & I didn't get any funny looks once in the pub, everyone used the correct gender pronouns & everyone treated me like a normal human being.

Today has boosted my confidence in the human race, after the threats I received the other week i've found it really hard to go out wearing make-up or wearing the clothes that make me feel comfortable with myself but today was just the boost I needed.

on the downside, the football was on in the pub & when Liverpool scored my dog went mental & barked the place down, I hate footie but it would seem that my dog is a Liverpool fan

What the hell was that?!                 From every wound there is a scar,
Spaceball 1.                                     and every scar tells a story.
*gasp* They've gone to plaid!        A story that says,

I was told to come over to the bright side and have a cupcake -looks around- WHERES MY CUPCAKE!! ;D

I talked to my mom again and she has turned into a very good source of kindness. She reassures me all the time that it will be ok and that is happening to me for a reason. She doesn't disagree with the physical changes I want to make. I think once I get going she may become my best friend. YAY!!
