It's always reassuring to know there are some good people out there.   :eusa_clap:

Yes it is. :)

And I'm so relieved that this barista is reacting so positively. She used to make me feel so awful by misgendering me all the time and running off before I could correct her; I used to hate going into Bux because of it. But now that I've asserted my gender (without making her feel uncomfortable either) we're both cool. Which is a great result all-round. :)

Was worried about passing today, then I went out to a restaurant and the host was like, "How's it going man"  ;D and then the waitress flirted mercilessly for a tip, and I was Sir'd like 5 times. It was a good day  ^-^

I figured out how to burn CD's so now I can play all of the out of print stuff that has been filling up my hard drive on my stereo rather than being dependent on the lappyity toppity box.

Two things:

  • I used the men's room for the first time! Okay, it was a single-stall one in Starbucks, but it was great to have taken that step and I did a little happy dance after I left. :D
  • Speaking of happy dances... I bought my youngest daughter the latest Tomb Raider game as a surprise because she's been under the weather lately. She jumped up & down on the spot like a five-year-old, started playing her game immediately... and then spent the next hour telling me what a great 'nerdgasm' she was having. ;D

One of my Susans friends made the 'tragic' error of calling me on my cell for the first time and we talked for hours. ;) Enter the vortex of Maddie-Time-Space! I hope her ear regenerates eventually, I definitely talked it off.
It was awesome to talk to her and put a voice to her words. :D

Spontaneously drumming along while my daughter played guitar while we were listening to "Dance in the Graveyards" by Delta Rae.

A friend and I went clothes shopping today and I bought myself new shirts, sweaters, boots, shoes, underwear, a purse, and a super cute hat. Totally worth dropping all that cash on myself.

Talked to two friends on the phone last night, one new one and one I've known for awhile. Both wonderful people I'm lucky to know.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I like my legs.  T stripped off all the fat and the pearly skin and left me with properly tough, muscular, agile, extremely strong legs, suitable for work, and they're all mine.  I'm not used to this 'taking ownership of one's body parts' thing but it seems rather delightful.  Muahahaha 8)

What a swell assessment, guess that's what it's all about my friend!  ;)

Simple pleasure: got to smell my favorite perfume today.
Watching the birds made me feel like taking a journey. The people, the landscapes, everything was imperfect but beautiful.
