I think I cheered up a sad person. Also I read about sea turtles and red foxes and american bullfrogs.

I'm actually sitting in the waiting room of the GIC. At last!

I know this is really only the beginning, but I'm proud of myself for making it this far. Well done, me! *pats own back*

I'm pretty sure I passed my statistics exam even though I forgot some things. One question was almost identical to one we had on the midterm.

Well it would certainly be an interesting outfit. Somewhere between Western and Victorian. Fashionable yet functional.  All of which I know you can do Rowan. And if you wanted, I have a high-end 12 megapixel camera so I can take pics for your portfolio.

I learned the history of the shotgun today. What was interesting was during world war I, the Germans, while using mustard gas and their other infamous creations in the trenches, tried to get shotguns banned from use in combat because " the shotgun was a barbaric weapon."
I love learning new things. ^_^

Yes, they were nicknamed "Trench brooms"

Yesterday was my hernia repair surgery.  Finally after "dealing" with it for two and a half years, the holes that my intestines have been trying to escape through are all patched up.
I can hardly express how happy I am to looking at a future where I can stand for more than a couple of hours without being in pain and where I can get back to a regular exercise routine.
I'm considering this my "test run" surgery and now I have a year and a half to work on getting in truly great shape before SRS.

I'm 1 year on T today. I can't really believe it, lol. I can't believe how much has changed.

I'm also happy because I know that even though I am sad and feeling crappy all in all, tonight Keaira and I will watch Austin Powers in Goldmember.

I went to a lab today for my first blood tests after starting Spiro. On the sidewalk in front of the building with many Doctor offices in it I picked up a dropped wallet. No money in it, a drivers license, permit one prepaid gas card and an Ontario health card (OHIP). At the lab reception I mentioned it & asked if they knew were the closest police station was, if not to far I could turn it over to them. The lady said let me check the health card to our system, it was for a 21 year old male student, sure enough he was a client in their computer & had been there a bit earlier. The lady started to call his phone # when the man was retracing his steps back to the lab. I told him I found it on the sidewalk & the lady was just about to phone him. He thanked me & shook my hand. Good timing. I was pleased to make the young man Happy that he had his wallet back & not worry about having to get his permits again.

I've had the opportunity to do the same thing. Handing it back to them is one of the greatest feelings in the world. It's nice to know there are honorable people in the world.

My generic Synthroid pills are starting to kick in. I eat more than everyone else in my family now (since I'm constantly ravenous) but I don't have to sleep more than 12 hours a day now.  :)

@Blaine, quote "I've had the opportunity to do the same thing. Handing it back to them is one of the greatest feelings in the world. It's nice to know there are honorable people in the world."

Good on you too and it does feel rewarding. The receptionist said I was a nice person. Raised right, you do right.

Pleased that you are getting to claim more of your waking hours now.
Cheers

@Rowan, I have had two of those & know what you are experiencing. Take it easy for the first week. I am sure your surgeon told you to not do any heavy lifting or exertion for a month. Takes about 6 weeks to fully heal. I never felt any constant pain just the odd sharp stab or it was itchy & wanted to scratch. Itchy is a positive sign of healing. That should pas in a week. Listen to your body and be good to yourself.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Take care.

I took a big step in the RLE stakes today. I attended a car club social drive as Shellz in a world where I had only ever been known as my former male self.

Caleb and I watched Austin Powers: goldmember. I love watching movies with him. He's become such a big part of my life that I can't remember life without him.he's going make some woman happy one day and im sure I will be morethan a little envious of her.
I was in a lot of pain at one point but a was still able to smile at him. It was nice having him beside me to chat with.

Made it through almost 400 pages of gynecologic and pediatric reading for my EMT courses with only a moderate amount of dysphoria. It's a start. Plus, I somehow managed to set the class curve for the exam over all of it. Apparently I got something out of it!
