Talking with the ladies at the fabric store.  I've been shopping there for the best part of a decade and,  with the exception of two of them who are part of my wider social circle, none of them even know I'm the same person.  There's one old gal who was always really crotchety with me in the past and is super sweet now.  It really made me smile just how nice she was today when I was getting fabric cut, and that she clearly had no idea we've met before ;D

Maybe you should tell her? Just to see her reaction?

I got to have a lovely conversation with one of my good friends. I love the way I feel with her, somehow she exudes this sense that everything is going to be OK. She's actually like a foil to me, in a way, because she never worries where as I can be rather anxious for little to no reason.

You make me feel the same way! Thank you for this nice post. But the only reason I stopped sweating the small things is because of advice you gave me so many years back. You said that you never worried what people thought of your decisions because there were lots of people who would support you and take your side. So for that reason you never settled and you never worried because you knew that good things were out there for you. When you said that to me I stopped worrying about my own life because I know there is so little that cannot be remedied.

Prof. HB laid a verbal smackdown today on some gay guy  for his "Oh, you're a transgender, I know plenty of girls that feel like men" comment. I'm so proud of him! :D *gives him a big hug*
Saison was there too. She got to see it as well. I'm jealous.

Round five of lasers today.  My face hurst, and my nose is full of the smell of burning hair, but I'm thrilled I won't have to see even the faintest trace of shadow for at least another month :)
Now I hide until the redness is gone.

Yeah, it felt good. :| I admit, for a moment, I almost felt bad (or sort of scared) but then I realized he honestly deserved it, even if the ignorance was well-intentioned. I've had enough of it.

The pizza I just ate. I know the cooks at the pizza place and they cooked it just the way I like it.

The last few visits to my gender Doctor I have dressed female & wore my new 100% human hair wig. I didn't have the time in the morning today to get made up because I would have to get back to male mode in the afternoon with a singing group I volunteer on the sound. Most of the people do not know about Jamie. When I was making my next appointment the receptionist asked, where is your beautiful hair? I explained my situation & she agreed it was too much work for a short time. I said she was very sweet & thanked her for her compliment. I have to go back Wednesday as I missed getting my Doctors prescription, so I am thinking I will get dressed to please her & may see the coordinator to the health & support program, she has never seen me dressed female. Those unexpected lovely words touch your heart, makes your day & you soar. The pretty & young receptionist I felt like giving her a hug. Life is amazing!

Soo very cool Jamie, yes life is amazing when you have a zest for it and are able to pick up on and enjoy all of the little joyful nuances!

I've been out of town on business for a couple of days... but I've finally returned back to civilisation. And best of all, my too-cool-for-school teenage kids both gave me massive hugs because they've been missing me. :)

Yes he did a wonderful job! I was a surprised when he slammed his plate down on the counter so loudly but I think he did the right thing. I was telling him in the car how disgusted I am with these gay people. Before he came out as transgender he was a lesbian and people were so rude, asking personal questions and making assumptions about him without their own knowledge base. If these gay people are  going through even half of what he went through you would think they would educate themselves!!!

It worked out for me though ;D We went out of town for ice cream instead of eating at that place and it ended up being a beautiful day!

That did end up being lovely. ;D And yeah, I am sick of people who think because I'm trans, or because i look a little different, my body is public property.
