I am out and about a lot and I understand why people think you are a woman in real life: because you totally look like one. You look exactly like lots of women look here in my neck of the woods, the Heartland, that is.

What's been said about high forehead, not the best skin, unglamourous hair, etc is all somewhat true, but that is also somewhat true of a lot of women.

Honestly, you are one of the best "passers" on the forum. You look natural. People would not cast a second glance at you. Others here would look more glamorous, but people would look at them twice and see they are not cis-women.

When I see your avatar I see a woman. One I would see at Mickey D's, Walmart, Fred Meyer's, etc.

Funny story (for me at least): I spent a few days in Anchorage two weeks ago and whilst there I had a mani/pedi done and the lady kept asking me if I wanted any color on my nails. I told her no several times so she put the clear polish on. When it was time to pay I handed her my credit card and she was surprised at my name. I found that rather gratifying.

The next day I got my hair dyed a very deep purple. almost black, and had two brighter purple lumens put on either side and also had two new piercings done in my ears so now I have two hoops in each. As I was leaving the hotel to move my car so I could load it, there was a woman standing there who kept staring at me. I had my hair down and pushed behind my ears so I know she was trying to figure out what I am. I came back out to the lobby with my suitcases on one of the luggage carts and there was a man with her, her hubby, I assume, who looked at me and asked if I needed help with my luggage. I'm thinking she said something to him and he was asking so he could hear my voice and answer the gender question. 

Sadly Alaska's not the most friendly LGBT state but I love it here and don't want to go anywhere else.

So I still have a LONG way to go obviously but do you see any difference from way before I started hormones to the time I started taking them and then now 4 months later? All of them are in "boy mode".

Nice progression in appearance and accessories. Two interesting experiences in your time in Anchorage.

My wife & I had several days in Alaska adding a land package at the end of a 7 day Holland America boat cruise. Bused to Denali for two nights and toured the National Park. Took the train back to Anchorage for an overnight before flying back to Vancouver. In Skagway we took a day tour by bus up to the Yukon and train back to Skagway. We loved our experience & vistas, the majestic powerful mountain scenes...awesome! Would love to some day drive up through our western provinces to the Yukon & Alaska.

If you don't mind me asking, where about do you live in Alaska?

Hi Jamie, I live in Barrow, on the North Slope, right on the edge of the Arctic. My apartment overlooks the ocean. It's very flat here, and well above the tree line. I miss the mountains and forests south of me so I get out of here for a few days every few months.

Wow, stunning, you are at the Arctic Ocean! I just looked up info for Barrow and it is -27 F. Are you just starting to get sunlight there yet? In May we couldn't get over that we saw sunlight 24 hours of the day. You mentioned getting into your car at the hotel in Anchorage. Are there roads as far as Barrow or do you have to fly? I have seen a couple of documentaries and video of Barrow and Prudoe Bay. In the Yukon I think the only way to get to the Arctic Shore is in winter on a plowed path on frozen ice and snow covered. Otherwise you have to fly to the communities. The coldest I have experienced once many years ago in Calgary overnight was -40 F.

Ok so I put myself out there in the other thread so I thought I should repay the favour over here.  I'm not exactly MtF, but I would like to be able to present as female eventually if I so chose.  I''ve got to work on mannerism's etc, but I've got walking down as long as I'm in heels.

This is probably my second concerted attempt at "girl-mode" me (on one of my days off a few months ago).  I sat down after raiding my SO's stuff and doing myself up, because of my glasses it's tough for me, I'm not used to doing it by feel alone.  Just me and makeup.  The wig is one of the cheap ones you get for halloween, I REALLY need a better one closer to my natural colour (red/copper)...

I'm grateful for 3 things:  my SO and I are about the same size, skin tone, and hair-colour.

I think you probably can. The beard shadow might need to be taken care of, and a change of wigs is a must.
