I suspect that someone was trying to give me a lecture about comparing one of my things to something that gets people "killed, beaten, and otherwise hurt" (her words) claiming it was "insensitive." She used herself as an example, saying she had a problem with being bullied for being queer.
1) Actually, she was bullied because the bullies chose to be bullies. She did not do or be anything to deserve it. I have some sympathy for this, but it's still an attitude that needs to be corrected.
2) This will probably make people mad, but whatever. I find it very hypocritical that she is telling someone who has been abused, raped, and other things that he's being insensitive, but thinks that being bullied at school is a fair comparison. Now that's insensitive.
