Silas.

Hey there, Just wanted to introduce myself and say a few things to get me started here at Susan's. I am a 20 year old FtM Trans, and still struggling through it roughly. I have publicly identified myself as being androgynous for about 5 years now, and an open crossdresser with close friends. but have spent my entire life hiding the real me due to fear and confusions.

I have recently gathered my courage to open up to my boyfriend and close friend (whom is also a trans, MtF), whom told me about Susana's and is starting to help me get on track. I have dealt with a highly judgmental family and social community where I have hid myself from until now. I just hope to find some answers and help through Susana's and the right ways to cope with my stress and experiences and feelings, as well as try to find a good local Gender Therapist.

I hope to meet others like myself and share pasts and futures through this forum, and have some light shown on this hidden part of my life, and hopefully find aid in coming out to at least my friends and mother (personal goal).

Hi Silas, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 8603 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hi Silas,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in and start talking.

I'm really pleased you have such thoughtful friends who care for you. They are a real treasure in life. I wish you ever success finding your therapist. A good one can set you on the right path with the right attitude, allowing you to gain self confidence and esteem to take you places you never thought possible.

Sorry to hear about your family. I guess that singer from the 50's, Ella Fitsgerald must have experienced something similar when she sang that song, "We must accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative."

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Yes they are.  And I love ferrets too.  Unfortunately I don't have any right now, but I will in the future.
