Not all women feel feminine, but they know they are women. Transition in my opinion is not about dropping one mode (masculine) and taking on another (feminine). It's bridging that cleavage in your psyche and becoming one whole person, whoever that person is. I see this all the time on other forums and groups. People talk about learning to walk a certain way, or trying to get into certain activities or acquiring interests. The important thing is discovering who you are.

Some women are masculine. Some men are feminine. I play guitar, watch hockey and do electronics. Look at my avatar. Do you see a man?

When I've been asked these questions, I tell people that I've always simply felt that way I felt. I had to learn that the way I was naturally feeling was considered by others to be "feminine", and so that's how I "learned" that I was a girl. And so, transition simply feels like something I need to do. It feels right, because it's coming from the inside. If I'd found myself considering hypnosis or lessons on how to "feel like a woman" early on, I would seriously question whether or not the profound step of physical transition was right for me.

Always amazes me how we experience transgender differently.

My experience is totally different. I don't feel remotely like a woman. Thinking about wearing a dress, being called Mrs., using a ladies room feels really strange. However, I'm developing a deep sense that living as a woman (however I'm going to define that) is right for me, and that my body want to be female.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

On the subject of feeling feminine, I was talking with one of my female friends the other day. She is one of the most feminine women I know (both in presentation and personality), she told me that that day she was feeling very manish. She said when she looked in the mirror that day all she saw was a guy looking back. I guess feeling masculine is something all women go through.

At the risk of tiptoeing too close to a fire (which isn't what I want), I consider myself transsexual rather than transgender because it is more specific for me, and that term just seems to fit better.
Of course, one is certainly not better or worse than the other; just different, and to me the distinction is important. :)

I agree with you whole heartedly with you concerning who you are. However, for me, I do not ever use "transsexual" when describing myself. I personally dislike the word.  But I do understand your convictions and I respect it

Wouldn't it be very nice if such a thing makes you feel more masculine?

No need for transition anymore ;-)

I have used self-hypnosis for about a month by Paul Clinton with dramatic changes in the way I express myself. I used to feel feminine but that's not enough because we give off gestures and expressions quite masculine or obviously forced. I walk better now, I have a higher tone of voice, and my friends have commented on my overall femininity. I also thought it was necessary to have a hypnotist present, but the program I used had so many trance inductions that it was easy for me to become trancy. May not be for everyone but I'm super happy with my progress. X

Interesting....so I guess Subliminal or Masculinisation Hypnosis can help you feel more masculine....so no MTF transition is needed ;-)

well I know one thing that helps me, to immerse myself in everything feminine, like taking a bath in pure estrogen or something. For me it would be watching Jem and the Holograms, singing along to Gloria Estefan and drinking wine coolers in a warm bath with rose petals.
