Can Subliminal or Feminization Hypnosis help you feel more feminine?

I was looking at a site that is run by a transgender woman who sells mp3s for like $10 a piece and she has a few programs that range from hypnosis to subliminal programming. Can any of these be effective for me? I am in a constant battle with my conscious mind wanting to live as female and my subconscious wanting something else or not being 100% sure. I can tell you that on most days i don't feel feminine at all and i want to so badly, I want this teeter totter business in my head to stop.

I've listened to quite a lot of them, for the most part it depends entirely on the individual. Hypnosis is a clinically recognized form of therapy but it is usually done by a professional.

How effective they can be is all about how much you can let go of your thoughts, some people can't fall into the hypersuggestive "trance" and others can fall into it easily. It might take some practice but I believe anyone can eventually.

Once in this state, it is possible to convince someone to feel more feminine, by suggesting how to act, how to perceive certain parts of their body, etc. but it's only as effective as the will of the individual to believe it.

Also like anything, the more you hear something, the more it will sink in. There is one that I personally love, her voice is reassuring and convincing, the mood is perfect and not a trace of sexualization (which a lot of them tend to have) and it's free: http://www.erotic-hypnosis-files.com/files/LRWomanly.mp3 (don't worry, it's not erotic at all)

I would personally ignore those, I didn't like them. First the male voices were very off putting, and they are erotic in nature. Also I don't buy any of this "curse" non-sense, that just seems like superstition or pseudoscience. They claim to use multiple levels of "deepeners: and other techniques to create more powerful subliminal effect but there is no studies to back up any of these claims.

The one I linked directly is non-erotic and probably the best I've heard.

why would you want to "trick" yourself into feeling more feminine? Usually most ppl feel plenty feminine it's the physical aspect they want.
I can see me
I can see you
Are you me?
Or am I you?

It has nothing to do with "tricking" yourself into being something your not, there are many threads/posts about the self doubt of femininity, the "man in a dress" feeling. It's not that I don't feel like women, some of us have wanted to be women for years but have been forced to act/behave like men in the wrong social gender, that is not always easy to change immediately, mannerisms and social behaviors especially. Transitioning is more than just growing breasts.

If these self-hypnosis tracks can help someone realise they are truely feminine and not "pretending" to be a woman, but actually are a woman (Which is one of the main messages in LRWomanly) in the way they act and behave. I don't see how this is anything other than positive for transitioning and self affirmation, especially if it improves attitude and confidence (key factors in passing).

But then again some people just don't feel comfortable with hypnosis, period, so to each her own.

eh...i feel like it's tricking yourself too. I do not want to sound insensitive and this is your body and you can do whatever you want but if you feel you need to be hypnotized to feel feminine then I would do some more soul searching. I am not saying you cannot be a transgender MTF and not feel feminine. What I am saying is, when it comes to femininity, it should flow...you should not be convincing yourself. And if this has something to do with all of your life having to be forced to be masculine and your brain is all in jumbles, then that's what a therapist is there for...to help you focus and talk these things out. Listening to some MP3 files with pretty music and a pretty voice telling you how feminine you are for 40 minutes wont work. You must have a two way dialogue to iron out your feelings, problems, dilemmas, hopes, fears, etc.

I never seen those "hypno-matic female feeling" sessions work anyways. And when someone sells these CDs to convince yourself to be more feminine, I compare to the old fashion tonic elixirs that never worked...except to make the wallet fatter for the person selling it.

yes well i feel like i have all this male programming and upbringing to get rid of , i have tried to make a conscious effort but like i still keep dreaming as a male, and mentally and spiritually I still feel in between, i have had some days where i truly felt feminine and it was a real pleasure!

It was like a feeling of euphoria, where my brain just relaxed and I allowed myself to be in that role, it was rather blissful and freeing, and sadly it only seems to come every now and then.

It actually takes a long time to start dreaming female...hypnosis isn't really a quick fix for that.

I didn't start dreaming as a girl until about four months after I started presenting fulltime as a girl.

After awhile..I don't feel feminine or masculine. I just feel myself...and that's euphoric. Trying to be overly feminine for transgirls will clock them. Same with being overly masculine for transmen. It's like they are trying to prove something.

This feeling of balance comes after time. And it comes a LOT more smoothly once you are 24/7 fulltime in your  chosen gender (I don't mean dressing up as a girl after work..I mean..being a girl from bone to skin and living it in every nuance of your life). Some girls can even balance this out being parttime...but it takes more of a conscious effort.

Also, a therapist can help you with this. Because there is back and forth dialoguing. An audio clip does not do this for you.

I hope this helps

I have to agree, it seems like your wanting to trick yourself into something that may not really be there.

If its any consolation to you i have been 24/7 for over a year and i still have "boy" dreams. I used to let it bother me but now i just wake up and go about my day as the woman that i am.

I'm almost sure subliminal things - publicity, learning, whatever - have been proven as useless.

As for hypnosis, maybe it can help, yes. Hypnosis has heaps of surprising effects on people's subconscious/etc. sometimes. However, it's important to remember that:
1. Hypnosis doesn't work well, or at all, on everyone.
2. I seriously doubt there's a way to successfully perform hypnotherapy if you're not with the hypnotist in person.
3. It's not a replacement for proper psychotherapy. It just looks at something else.

Long because transitioning, long long long time ago.  I tried that... "Jackpot" mp3.  It failed..... it was supposed to make you _ _ _ without touching.

Best way to feel feminine is to feel feminine. Sometimes I don't feel feminine either, and those days are depressing so I do something to make myself feel feminine.

Like my nails~ Maybe a little makeup.  All within the privacy of a nail salon or my home.  Practice my voice, internalize my inner voice which finally picked up my female voice.

Talk to people online that are unaware of my transition and who only see me as a woman.  Which I tend to do every day in my gaming life.  (not talking about the freaks that just want my cyber body haha)

I can't speak for those particular scripts. I'll talk about my experience. I'm not an especially good hypnotic subject, but I like trying various youtube hypnosis videos to see what the experience is like.

I tried a few of the "feminizing" ones. I didn't think of myself as Trans then, and wasn't even sure why they drew me.

They were total crap and I was surprised to see that I was disappointed. I really wanted to feel like a woman. I'm a decent hypnotist so I made a couple of my own. One of them worked really well and I found that I felt really happy after viewing it and really wanted to go back to it. That helped nudge me to the realization that I'm Trans.

Like A, I'm a little suspicious of "subliminal" messages found in distributed scripts. For most people it takes a skilled hypnotist to bring them deep enough to quiet all conscious thought. I didn't need that at all. All my trances were waking alert trances, and yet I was able to learn a lot about myself.

Hope this helps. Good luck, S.S.

that means it would be a good thing to continue with your therapist...not to buy CDs ;)

that doesn't mean anything really, it's all up to you and how feel, therapists help you cope, but I think by the time someone see a gender therapist they either know

Also, doesn't being intersex disqualify you from being a transsexual? Or maybe that was the outdated version, idk. I just always find it a little disappointing when TS people try and find an IS cause, and even for those that do, it seems like a few of them harp on it as if it made them "Better".

Also, why do you make all your posts blue?
I can see me
I can see you
Are you me?
Or am I you?
  •

Shawn Sunshine

NO, being inter sexed does not disqualify you from being transgender, there are inter sexed babies that are assigned a gender and still later in life feel that they have the wrong body, i just met a ftm who was also inter sexed, so yes it happens. I just also saw on Anderson Cooper's talk show a mtf who has a form of inter sex, in my case I have mild ais, in hers she had xxy chromosomes, these are mild cases, there are many many types of inter sex conditions, and doctors yet still make it a practice to assign a sex and fit them into a binary system, which is wrong, you should allow the child to be able to tell you who they are, whether they are male or female, or if they want to remain as they are in between.

I post in blue, because its my favorite color, I like to post in all sorts of colors actually.

Since the topic was brought up, I have to say... It's generally disregarded to colour your messages uselessly. It's inefficient, ergonomically, it's tiring for the eye and it's not very fun to read. Some colours can be fine, but you have to pick them well. They need to blend in with stuff. Else it discourages people from reading. To be honest, I rarely read you because of those very colours.

so what? you want me to type in black just like every other persons post? I think dark blue on this forum looks just fine, but to each their own i guess. Why even offer the other colors to post if people are going to say its horrible?
