Ahah! But the "War on Terror" ain't ezactlee a war now iz it? It's just another escalation in the best selling series... you know, it started with the "War on drugs" , then came the sequel "War on poverty" (how did that one turn out anyway?).... like that.
It's an excuse to do other things.... which were are not totally sure about yet. I'm looking forward to the revelation as to why we're really doing this. I think that I know... but it's just my silly opinion.

Right on Cindi. You got it.
On the Drug War, it's a joke. The illegal drug network could not survive without the help of those WITHIN government and military. It is a self-perpetuating thing. I'm so tired of spending $69 billion/year on trampling civil liberties while having a negligable impact on the Drug trade. In fact, just like we already learned thru alcohol prohibition, it simply doesn't work AND creates MORE problems than already existed. We wrote Constitutional amendments that recognize this fact -- why MUST we relearn the wheel? Very frustrating to watch and be aware of.
Law Enforcement Against Prohibition is going to make history.
http://www.leap.cc. I have some very strong ties to people within the organization (they know nothing of my TS). I have confidence we will prevail. I have never seen such a strong organization against the Drug War.
If we were to wave a magic wand across the country and everyone who used, sold, bought, distributed, and/or was involved or had knowledge of illegal drug activity glowed green, I believe the Drug War would be over tomorrow. America, the land of the free already has the highest prison population in the world. I believe America would pretty much be divided mostly into guards and prisoners. It's preposterous to think we can arrest away peoples health issues. We're human beings. I guarantee we all know someone we love who is involved in some way or has knowledge of the Drug trade thru someone they love but the majority of us are unwilling to call the cops and press charges against those we love.
Drug use alone does not equal criminal behavior in my opinion. If we were to make cigarettes illegal, there would suddenly be millions of new criminals in the U.S.! My wife would suddenly be a criminal druggie!! An addict who simply belongs in jail! How does that make much sense? We already saw this disaster with alcohol.
On the Terror War. We were attacked on Sept 11 by Osama. I would suggest we actually go after him instead of the countries he lives around or near. This would be like me destroying my neighbors house because some jerk from somewhere else attacked me. Seems like an irrational lashing out to me, which would also fit with Dubya's sophomoric personality so well.
Iraq did not attack us.
