Do I pass?

And if so, as what?

no makeup, basically rolled out of bed, threw some old clothes on and dampened my hair a tad before running into work for a little bit this morning and now back home.

You certainly pass, as a very attractive woman (of course). Your smile is lovely. :)

I realised that I have never posted a full body shot. Not sure how well it passes at the moment.

Soo what do you guys think?

<3 Liv

P.S. That is not my filthy bathroom I promise!  ;)

I know I do not pass yet  :(  But this is where I am now.

This is me about one year ago ... ... ... This is me about one week ago before starting HRT
I have had several laser treatments on my beard, I died my hair a couple weeks ago, but most of all I have gained happiness.

I have a long way to go, but I am looking forward to the changes over the next year.

Olivia-Anne- looks like a very passable shape to me :D nice bootay ya got there :D

Tiffie- It seems to me like you pass more in the first photo (besides the minor beard shadow). I think it is a combination of the glasses and hair being somewhat covered up. But that is just my opinion on the glasses, don't feel like I'm saying you need to get new ones. As someone who used to wear glasses, I know how attached we can be to them ;) Congratulations on starting hormones, too! Yay!!!

Attached to glasses ? Ew. I hate to have to wear glasses. x_x I would trample them until they don't look like glasses anymore since I hate them so much. I've worn glasses all the time since I was three, and I never really got used to it. Just so freaking uncomfortable. Only advantage is that they somehow make my face more passable.

(Sorry, that was very much off-topic.)

Tiff, it seems to me that your hairline will be an issue.  Do you have signs of MPB?
  •

Tiffanie

Thanks for the info  ;D

The hairline will be and is a problem.  I have not tried to style my hair because it is so fine and limp.  My brother has very noticeable balding, but I have not shown any signs other than the receding hairline.  Many in my family, including sisters have this issue a bit.

I'll see if I can do something with my hair and post another shot.

Jamie D

That should not hold you back though.  I take a 5,000 mcg biotin supplement every day for hair health.

I took Biotin 5000mg twice a day as well as Finesteride with my normal HRT regimine and I had almost all the hair I had lost come back. I didn't have a receding hair line but it was starting to get thinner and thinner. Now I have a pretty thick head of hair. That was over the course of this past year. I stopped taking the finesteride about a month ago though, so I am hoping the effects will be permanant because of HRT. Soo here is hoping! The one drawback of the Biotin is that it makes all the OTHER hair grow like weeds too. Very hard to cope with as you can imagine. I also am stopping that now too. I started laser on my face and I want to reap the benefits . Congrats on starting HRT, I think someone is supposed to offer you cookies or something... ;D

I used to take biotin.  I never saw much change, but I had short hair then.  I should start again.  I also need to learn to style my hair rather than just being lazy and pulling it back all the time.  Any suggestions for horribly fine and limp hair?  ;D

White chocolate macadamia cookies please  ;D

I've done about a year of laser on my beard ... pretty much gone except the white hairs  :(  My body is quite hairy.  I'll likely do some laser on some parts, but I'm hoping HRT reduces some of the growth.  I don't think hairy boobs are very feminine ???

LOL, Olivia-Anne, please check your Biotin bottle again!  It is 5,000 mcg = 5 mg

I don't know about fine, but my hair definitely qualifies as limp.  Your natural oils are usually the best for creating more volume, so try washing and conditioning as little as possible.  I only wash my hair once every three days with a Herbal Essences shampoo, and, once a week, I use a higher-end Paul Mitchell shampoo with the line's deep conditioner.  Biotin may or may not help, but it tends to take the better part of a year to start noticing a difference.  As long as you can deal with drinking a little more water throughout the day, it's worth taking - I've never heard of any major side effects, but I have experienced large amounts of shedding whenever I try to up my dosage (I've been taking 5,000mcg for a few months now, occasionally trying 7,500mcg to stress-inducing results).  As far as post-shower products go, mousse/cream is about the only thing that adds volume for me, but it works to glorious results.  I only quit using it because I got sick of washing with a clarifying shampoo weekly.

Of course, YMMV.  It's worth experimenting with different cleaning cycles when that alone helped me out greatly.  I don't know if washing less frequently can cause more hair loss due to DHT, though.  I barely know anything about it, only that it's my mortal enemy.

I'm not quite in desperation mode, but I am definitely would like better hair results.  Thank you so much for your input  ;D
