In the first one, I say you definitely look more female than male. On the second one, even though I can't quite figure out why, you're more androgynous. Looks like HRT still has a lot of margin to work, though, so don't worry about it. I don't know where you are in HRT exactly or how old you are, but I have a feeling the vast majority doesn't pass that well at your stage, and I'm convinced there's more than enough at your age for you to pass at 100 % under all angles.

Yeah I think some cute hair, make up that blends with your pretty skin and some shopping in the females section of clothing

I agree, maybe fine tune those eyebrows a bit!

Yes i'm waiting for my hair to grow long enough so I can get it braided to get hair extensions. Eyebrows got it I will pluck them/shape them. Getting a female wardrobe got it, working on it now, thank you ladies! :)

It honestly looks like you have an androgynous appearance as of now but you are definitely on your way. In a few months or so I bet you will pass quite excellently!

Welcome to the forums!!

But I have to say I'm sorry Jennifer I don't think you pass in these photos :( The first one I think is the closest, though. The glaring issues are the styling of the wig (it looks like a wig), visible beard shadow, and unshapely lowhanging eyebrows. As well the outfit is not very flattering, I think the pockets on the hoodie/cardigan seem to draw attention where they shouldn't, and it looks like you have nothing on underneath it. Maybe if you had a bra & a white tank top on underneath it would help a lot ;)

The wig might be placed a little too low.. but I'm no wig expert- so maybe someone else can recommend something for that? The beard shadow is obviously helped by some orange/red corrector, concealer, and setting powder. You could also use the concealer to help diminish the under eye circles (I have those too). And finally, the eyebrows could use some arch as well as girth removed from the bottom to raise them up a bit and thin them out while giving them shape. A more flattering outfit (and don't forget accessories!) will help loads, too.

You seem to have quite a few feminine features to your face structure, and overall I think you are off to a great start :) I hope this helps!

Thanks a ton for the constructive criticism!  I know the beard is a problem, no matter how close I shave it shows through, any specific brand of corrector you recommend (cvs or Walgreens).  Funny about the eyebrowns, last night I spent sometime workibg on them.   Yes the wig is busted and I need a new one, but for style any recommendation on outfits that play down my gut ( the only place I store fat)?

I also was wearing a top and tank under tgat hoodie, but I do love my face, I feel I have a decent starting place.

Thanks again, hopefully soon I can post i the fabulous darling thread soon!

I think this is kinda' funny when it comes to body fat. I had a vet one time tell me that men are like cats in the body fat distribution and it goes straight to the  belly. He then said women were like dogs in that the fat is more distributed in the hips, legs, arms, chest and belly. I just thought it was kind of ironic especially when it comes to the associations of cats and dogs with humans.

As for clothing, loose clothing or something that will draw attention to your better parts will help. One suggestion though would be to practice sucking in your gut and eventually it will become more natural. Don't ask me how I know this 'cause I refuse to say. ;)

Oh you are so welcome :)

I haven't ventured too much into the drug store makeup aisle myself, but I have heard that the max factor concealer stick works really well. I'm sure a quick search for "beard cover" or "concelaer" on the forums will give you tons of good results on what to start trying! I used to use bobbi brown peach corrector to do both beard cover and discoloration around the eyes. Now I just use it for discoloration around my eyes because laser finally cleared mah beard! Oh yeah and you should start laser as soon as possible, too. It looks like you'll be a great candidate with light skin / dark hair.

I would still go a little further with the eyebrows and increase the arch / decrease the thickness, but like always don't go TOO far ;)
I liked this tutorial a lot when shaping my own and I post it here all the time: http://hairremoval.about.com/od/eyebrowshaping/ss/eyebrow-shaping.htm

As far as clothing styles I think Jess is right on, maybe you could look for something with a shape like this (focusing more on the shape around the torso- the arms are kind of irrelevant):

Thanks Jennygirl. I'm more or less slacker chic no matter what mode I'm in and have hard time giving anyone fashion tips.

no no, I plucked my eyebrown after that picture, sorry for the misunderstanding. I like that top, what is that style referred to?

I am such a noob.

A tunic or peasant top usually :)

Cute, petite, love the T shirt! The lighting changes works much better, we can see your eyes and facial features so much better than before. The brow bossing and nose will definitely need some fine tuning by an FFS expert. Don't get depressed over my comments, it just is what it is hon. Meanwhile you can thank the Good Lord for having a nice trim, slim little body unlike so many of the rest of us here. We all have some plusses and minus's to deal with.

Okay, a little over 1 month in, here. My hair is growing out, but I just bought a wig, until then.

Here's a pic of me with it just sorta thrown on. It just came in a half hour ago and I've only worn it once so there are some kinks to work out. This is right before getting a shower, so no makeup or anything:

I really kind hate the way I look, and I haaate my big Italian nose (seriously, that looks JUST like my gramma's nose). And again, that was quickly put on, quickly snapped, and now quickly posted as I walk out for a job interview (yaaay, Taco Bell), so it's not an effort driven look.

Also, my hands look huuuge in that but I think that's just the angle. Others have remarked that they are quite small, and they look small in other pictures, as well.

Well, Stefani, I think you're cute.  If you are just 1 month in (on HRT? or transitioning?) you will likely see some good effects from HRT on your face, and filling out your breasts and hips/butt.

But yeah, great start.
  •

Renee

That ain't a huge nose. Wanna see a huge nose, look in the fabulous thread for my pic.

I think you'll likely do just fine, Stefani. A better start than a lot of us, that's for sure.
