I'm sorry that happened to you. You don't need that sort of stuff when you're trying to figure it all out. The best thing you can do is just politely decline if it's brought up again. You don't have to do anything you don't want to; just say something along the lines of "I appreciate your help, but I think right now I just need to work on myself and think it over before I talk to anyone else." I've had people try to pressure me into "talking" to someone or doing something that I didn't feel was right for me, and it's hard but you've got to be your own advocate in these types of situations. because they certainly have their own agenda in mind and feel like it's their obligation to lead people in a certain way.

I can say this for sure and that is my brain is fine. I didn't start thinking or feeling this way because of an event in my life. I know what I am and I know its not a mistake. Screw anyone else who thinks otherwise.

Then why bother listening to someone who is probably anti-trans? I would never go to a church for an answer as to whether I am trans or not. If you know who you are, then why not go around and ask some doctors who actually specialize in GID to help you work through the nitty gritty of it and decide where to go next? To me, it just seems awfully masochistic to talk to a guy that has connections to a church that generally doesn't support transition.

I'm considering starting a blog. The problem is, how should I organize it? I don't want it to be personal. I make personal posts on here but I don't feel a very strong need to document everything that has happened in my life. But, I don't really have a topic for it. I think about so many sorts of topics and issues throughout the day, so the blog would be really scattered. A tagging system would certainly help with that, I guess, but even at that.

I realized his position after reading about him. I didn't know before hand what he was like when it came to the subject of trans men and women. I read a couple articles about him and it was clear to me what his position was. I haven't talked to him or met him. The priest I talked to didn't really get weird with it like I thought he would. He said some things I can agree with, but this Dr he knows I wouldn't set foot near him even if he was the last Dr alive. I feel like I'd be backed into a corner talking to him, like he would pick apart my life and try to find something to attach my feelings to. I don't want something like that.

Well, I say stereotypical because this obviously isn't the case for all guys...or all girls for that matter...

But before, I would have struck up a conversation even though I hardly know them, tried to make my voice sound higher/more agreeable, etc.

But this time, the guy just said "hello". I said "how it's going?" He said "good, you?" I said "I'm all right." And that was it. Lmao.

I should add...I actually prefer it now. Being a bit more short and just having that mutual acknowledgement between myself and other guys. Before, I always thought it was very rude, but it really isn't.

The thing about Spec Ops that sets it apart from all the others is it's narrative. It's basically a retelling of Conrad's Heart of Darkness, much like Frances Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now, just set in Dubai instead of the Amazon and Vietnam, respectively. They even throw a nod and wink to both source materials during the game. It's rare to have a nearly pure FPS have a worthwhile and engaging single player storyline, and this one succeeds at it immensely.


Oh. I'm also thinking that I really don't want to go to work tomorrow.

I just got done beating MW 2 the other day.  It was an okay game.  Very action packed.  I kind of miss Killzone 3.  The gameplay was fun but the ending was a let down.  I had the Trilogy.  Killzone 2 was pretty decent.  I enjoyed the knife combat the most while Killzone 3 had the better graphics.


I'm thinking that I hope I hope I hope I hope I HOPE my mom will allow me to have top surgery done one day while I'm still living under her roof.

I agree.  The storyline definately blew me away!  It has been one of the deepest millitary shooter game I've played so far.

I just realized something interesting. After doing some reading a bit about hormones and such, I know why I have such a female body to being with. Soy products have an testosterone repressing effect which limits the bodies ability to produce it. I used to eat and drink soy product cause I liked the taste. Now I know why I could never build up like I wanted to when I was younger. I pushing my body in the female direction without even knowing.

I should eat some of those. My therapist told me the same thing but I was just like "whatever you say".

Sorry to burst your bubble on this one but Spec ops is a 3rd person shooter not a 1st person shooter, it's also got some of the best gameplay in ages
I agree that it's got one of the best stories in a long time
