Kia Ora,

When it come to trans-people there's a lot of talk about the wiring in the brain so...

::) Just out of interest, are you sure you have one ? If you are, then when was the last time you actually saw or felt your own brain ?

Food for thought [provided you have a brain for the neurotransmitters to interact  that is] ;) ;D

I have the MRI and MRA scans of my brain, taken in October 2012.  The stroke damage is very well-imaged.

In fact, I just looked at them.  And my name is still there.

Kia Ora Jamie,

But you haven't actually seen it, only a photo [and we all know about trick photography and the likes of  photoshop] ;) ;D

I think to be able to actually see it would be difficult I mean you would have to basically cut the top part of your skull off to get to it so, I would lead to think I have have a brain because I am not interested into finding out by those means.

Kia Ora Jamie,

You might find this interesting, Jill Bolte Taylor, had a stroke and managed to document her experience...Truly amazing...

When I was a kid I used to try to roll my eyes back to look at it. I've given up on that, though, since everyone around me is pretty convinced I don't have one. I'll take their word for it 'cause I'm lazy like that.  ;D
I did my waiting! Twelve years of it! In [my head!] Azkaban!

Migraine sufferer here.

Oh I know it's in there alright. Damn thing malfunctions on a regular basis some years.

They say a migraine is like a form of stroke.

All I know, is while experiencing one, I can relate to a record skipping.

All your senses start over reacting, misreporting and just plain not working according to factory settings.

Add to that, I'm stuck in a male form, and yippee frigging hurrah, it means I suffer from THAT brain too.

Then there is the ill advised medications the poorly trained in local psychiatry have offered me during the 90s that sure did me no favours.

I have had it imaged and scanned several times.

It doesn't really surprise me no one seems to think like I do :)
Well being TG is no treat, but becoming separated has sure caused me more trouble that being TG ever will be. So if I post, consider it me trying to distract myself from being lonely, not my needing to discuss being TG. I don't want to be separated a lot more than not wanting to be male looking.

Yep, same here. Even saw the dead spot in my brain - i guess that i'm truly "brain dead" now  :D

I read the book by Jill Boltle Taylor and my experience, while somewhat similar, was a little different than hers. Still an interesting read.

I feel like my brain is mush. On the subject of brains, look at this! Isn't this cool?

Brains are over rated....

There is no evidence of superiority in the animal
World accredited to brains...

As a matter of fact having one can be a problem

Well, I haven't seen mine, but I've had someone zap the area responsible for hand movement from outside my skull with TMS and my hand moved, so... it's probably in there!

And I've seen other people's, up close and personal (preserved specimens that I got to handle) and when using an fMRI scanner.

Actually, just finished removing and dissecting a brain out of a cadaver for school a couple of months ago... Yes, I myself actually got to crack open the cranium with a chisel and hammer, and pull out the cadaver's brain ;)  Saw about 40 more brains removed from the other cadavers around our lab... So I made the inference that I might have one too lol!
