my mom doesnt know because im younger so she gets mad when i have short hair so she says i have no control on my hair :/

you look awesome seth!
Awe thank you~♥ I really appreciate that!

You're a near pass, definitely, albeit tending to appear more androgynous. But like, seriously, if you're only turning sixteen, then that's really great! It makes me excited for you and all the things ahead in your future! XD Two years more, though they may be up and down and sometimes like hell, will pass quickly. Besides, then you have that much time to explore yourself and your identity. At that age, you're lucky to be so self-aware already. :) Rock it!

Okay. So I really only meant to give myself a trim but went overboard in the front. There's a ponytail in the back, I'm going to wear a hoodie or something and if my mom asks my hair is in that ponytail. Anyway, pics. Ignore the mark on my face, I always either get cuts and scrapes or pick at whatever hive/pimple/random itchy thing is on my face.

Pass? If somehow yes, how old would you say I look?

Oh thanks, I got it! Then I shall begin with you.  ;D

In second photo you look like a teenage boy, I say ''pass''. With shorter hair, in future you wil look better I believe.

Tis' been quite a long time since I posted anything, so here goes:

This one is most recent...

This one is a little older...

And this one was for fun. X3 Also my current avi, but I decided to put it here as well for opinions. I'm just curious...

-Nervous-

What's that on your hair in the last picture? ??? I think it doesn't pass, or just half pass. But the others clearly pass!  :P

Max, I'd clock you as an androgynous male teenager!

Max:  I would say that you could pass if your mannerisms were right, which they must be if you're passing to your classmates.  Your hair looks unkempt enough for you to just to be a long haired guy.    I'd suggest wearing t-shirts with rounder neckholes, or smaller ones at least, because low or pointed ones look more feminine to me, although if you're wearing the same one in both photographs then it could just be the angle in the second photo.  I'd say that you were maybe 14.

Seth: You definitely pass.

Tom:  You pass as well, but I'd probably think you were gay, emo, or both, especially from the last photo.

Liminal Stranger

Yeah, same shirt. I took the picture on an odd angle in the other one. Fixed my hair a bit but I like to keep it scruffy like that, plus I'm too lazy to be bothered with standing there brushing it for an hour straight. My mannerisms are probably that of a 12 year old, blends right in with the other immature guys at my school. I'm good with 14, everyone is so shocked when I tell them I'm not a freshman XD

I say you pass well! You kind of look 18-25 years old to me, but I'm bad with ages.

Anywho... this is embarrassing, but I needed to ask someone!
I'm not on Testosterone, probably won't be able to be on it at all honestly, but do you guys think I could possibly pass one day? I know I look very feminine, but I try to avoid it as much as I can... though people still say I look feminine! This is me with my hair behind my head, I was thinking of cutting it somewhere to this length if possible. The tie doesn't match because it's the only tie I have, and it doesn't match with any of my button-down shirts. I was mostly just practicing tying a tie for suits. I also just started binding a couple months ago. Do I have a chance at all?  :embarrassed:

(also I can't stop having that "same face in every picture" thing, my face always does the stupid smirk that I do)

Protip: I may look young but It's really just my baby face... >_< I'm pretty tall, though, so that makes up for it somewhat. I also have a very tiny frame, and I'm clinically underweight. Always have been.

CloudyKino:  You don't pass to me at the moment, but it's hard to tell if you would pass from the photograph.  Your 'delicate' build is hindering you a bit, but it's mostly your clothing and glasses which doesn't help.  If you're going to wear a tie you'd do better to either wear it longer, or get a skinny tie (I have to wear skinny ties because I'm small, and they're more fashionable now anyway).  Female button down shirts are also really bad for trying to pass in because of the way that they're cut, I wore one like yours and even though my chest was perfectly flat in my binder it looked like there was something there in the way it was cut.  More rectangular glasses, maybe with thicker frames would also help, but I'm not brilliant with commenting on glasses.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Ill go through these as best I can:

>I'm going to be getting new glasses soon. Slightly thicker and more square. Yay!

>The tie is the only one I had, it was a gift and I was just practicing tying them. I'm going to be looking for better suited ties in the future.

>The shirt is not my fault. I'm currently not allowed to shop for mens clothes (I'm not out of the closet) and these button up female cut shirts are the only options I have currently.  :'(

>Also grrr underweightness is so hindering! I've tried pretty much everything to put on some weight or muscle It's been years, trust me, I've really tried everything. It's a family trait.

Hopefully one day I'll pass with the right clothing options.  ;D

How do you look in slightly baggy t-shirts?  Those are more gender neutral, so you should be able to buy them even in the closet.  Same with slightly baggy pants/shorts.  I think a slightly baggy t-shirt with some slightly baggy cargo shorts and sneakers would look good on you and, even if you don't pass completely, would at least make you feel more comfortable than wearing female-cut shirts.

There are tall, very slight and skinny males, so I don't think that'll necessarily make or break you.  And a good thing about it is people with your build usually have smaller chests.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

You're certainly right. I normally wear loose shirts, but my folks don't let me wear them out of the house so this is my second best option. I'm also going to try to get sneakers, hopefully that goes well. I'll try getting a picture of my other button up shirt later to see if that one looks slightly better.

Max You must be passing if you are read as male at school, I think you pass but as a young teenager, 14ish.

I agree with what Alex and others said above. The tie doesn't help because it makes you look a lot smaller. I think you should try to gain some weight if you can at all, preferably by gaining more muscle mass. If you're able to, try lifting some weights, without being on T you'll most likely never look like a male body builder, but just having some toning will probably help you not look so delicate. I'd also try a different shirt, even though patterns help distract from the chest, the front pockets help draw attention to moobs, and going with darker colors (IMO) might seem more masculine than the pastels.

Yeah, I agree on the baggy vs fitted shirts thing. I know what it's like having a smaller build, inherited an annoyingly small bone structure from someplace. But a larger shirt and a skinnier tie to make it proportional to you and I don't see why you can't pass.

Thanks for the comments guys, and haha thanks, wish more people thought I was 18-25 or at least my age. Most people think I'm 12 or 14 when they see me, some think even younger. But today I made an exciting discovery of darker hairs creeping down into my sideburns. Mind over matter, eh? Also my hair took on a mullet style somehow so I'm going with that, maybe I'll take a pic but I'm too lazy right now.

Honestly, I've tried. The best I can do is "feel fit" but I've never gained any proper muscle mass. I've done tons of different things over the years.

hey there
unless you have a medical condition, you gain weight by eating more calories than you burn. Start tracking your calories and you may find that you are not eating as many as you think. try fitday or calorieking to start tracking your cals. try to get 500-1000 more caloriese than you need. I get about 4-5k a day and i am trying to put on weight. Its not as easy as you might think.
