I have never actually put a full body picture of myself here before, and well, now I have one. Not really perhaps the best angle but I was wondering what everyone here thought. Pass or no?

And I thought I would also ask, any suggestion for a hairstyle? I know I can't pull of anything too short, cause when it is I am just called a dyke.

imo not so much in those pictures as you did in your last, Dalex. I think part of it is that your shoulders look kind of small (maybe a different shirt would help in that department?)

As for the hair...I don't know how to explain this because I have so little knowledge about hair products, but I believe there are products that can create kind of a "messy" look (but controlled messy). I notice in a lot of guys with hair your length, it seems to hang not so straight. And yours is like...perfect, lol (I'm actually a bit jealous). The term in school was "hockey hair" (but obviously avoid the styles that look like a mullet lol). I'm thinking maybe like a hair cream might help achieve that effect.

Hopefully that made sense, it was hard to explain, haha.

Maybe you can look up men's haircuts for your length of hair, and see what you like. I think having a more masculine haircut will help a lot. Not short, just styled in a way typical to men, perhaps.

Also, this will probably be stupid, but I think working out a bit will help you. If it's something you can do and want to do, I reckon gaining a bit of muscle will help, your arms from what I can see, can do with a bit of muscle. I mean I'm not judging you, because my muscles are practically withering away, haha, but yeah.

Hey all, I don't want to spam this board or anything but I can feel so self-conscious sometimes lol  I was asking a couple of my friends who knew me before I knew I was trans and they think I look/sound like a girl in guys clothes basically, hence why I'm asking. I know people here answer honestly so I value all your opinions. On a scale of 1-10 where do you think I sit? 1 being you look totally like a girl and 10 being never enter the women's washroom again if you value your life! haha jk, sorta. I hope I don't look too nervous in this vid I really didn't know what to talk about so I just kinda ended up rambling. Also, I will be taking this vid down after a couple days.

I don't know about the scale thing, Evan.  I'd say a 10, but as a young boy - maybe around 15 or so.  You pass 100% to me, even your voice is boyish.

Adam (birkin)

Honestly Evan, it's kind of hard for me to say. I found my perception of you kind of flip flopped throughout the video - at one point my mind would think "male" and the other it would think "female" (well, not that I saw you as a girl because I know you're not one, but you know what I mean). I would say that overall your physical appearance comes off as male, and your voice can kind of go either/or. There were certain points where I think it would have helped if you were less hesitant in your speech (understandable because you do seem nervous in the video). I find the hesitation kind of makes people's voices get stuck on higher notes. But when you weren't hesitating, it sounded more boyish, for sure.

Don't feel bad or self-conscious though. First off, your friends who knew you before are always gonna see some of the "girl" even after transition, because that's what's set in their minds. They're too biased to give you honest feedback. Second, one thing I've really learned (struggled) to accept is that we can't control how others see us, all we can do is work towards being comfortable with ourselves and that usually takes time. I think you've got a really good start in terms of appearance.

I'd say you look and sound like a young guy. Your voice sounds like a guy's voice when it's still kind of changing. The problem with people who knew you before you came out as trans is...they have that past knowledge of you, so it's hard for them to see you differently just because certain things change. Same with my best friend, he said he'd never be able to see me as a guy even though he refers to me as such. Because he's always known me as a girl. So don't worry much about that.

I am rather envious of your voice though, haha.

You pass really well Evan. I agree with Jason, I'm envious of your voice. For me, the only times I saw girl is when you were smiling. I don't why.

And talk about spamming, I just have to show my new haircut off. I'm so happy with it

1. You pass to me.
2. Loving the haircut.
3. Loving the shirt :D

Tomboy, looking good! But I'm not sure whether you pass... you are kind of balancing on the line of passing/not passing, hard for me to gauge. But you already have a distinct masculinity over you, and I am sure you'll pass well once on T for a while! Right now, it would depend on voice, way you carry yourself etc. whether you really pass. (I know from experience that I tend to pass at photo's, but not irl because of my voice (and giganormous butt :I (okay, not that big. But you get the idea)))

@Evan: You are sitting right in the middle for me. You have a really androgynous look [which is a plus in my book]. I could see you as a 20-something girl or a really young boy. Like, 14. Which I think would hurt your passing in the "real world" because I'm sure you carry yourself differently than a 14-year-old boy would, and do things like drive, etc. which would confuse people. I look really young too so this is something I struggle with. Your voice sounds great though. Very androgynous, leaning toward the male side.

@tomboy: You pass in my eyes in these photos, and that shirt is amazing.

Wow guys, such a MAJOR confidence boost.  I'm totally okay with looking like a young guy.  I don't actually drive or do much things that would scream "adult!" so I think I could maybe get away with it haha.  Seriously, this has made at least my entire month :) Also thanks for the advice.  You're right, it might be that they still remember the "girl" from before and are finding it hard to get away from that.  And yeah, I do need to just be me and be ok with that xD still, it's nice to know that I mostly pass, even with my voice :) So yeah thanks guys!

Evan- It's totally cool to get that feedback isn't it. Yay for confidence boost.

Thanks guys. :)

my voice gives me away. And my hips :P I think my body mannerisms are pretty masculine but I sort of talk like a girl if that makes sense. I've asked a couple real life friends and they said I've always been andro so that gives me hope. Thanks

Oh yeah, Evan, totally missed your video, lol ::)
But I agree with the others. You have a pretty small frame though. But for the rest... totally passing as a young guy! Your voice is very guyish as well (much lower than mine *pipsqueak voice*), I'd gauge you around 12-14

I do think the style in those pics is a little androgynous or feminine, because it seems to form a natural bob. I'd suggest either straightening your hair, and/or looking into a shag kind of haircut. I used to wear one and I regularly was read as male even though I wasn't even trying.
