I think you sing well and I like your voice, that of a boy perhaps, but then again you do look like a boy. I haven't been following the FtM threads actively so I'm not intentionally being ignorant of your transition history and am wondering if you are on T? I find it really amazing how some guys voice will drop several octaves on it though I don't recommend it for everyone because there's no coming back once the voice drops.

I haven't started T yet, just been practicing both singing and speaking as low as I possibly can in the last few months. I'm actually looking forward to hear how my voice will change. But, considering how the system is here, it will be at least a year before they will consider giving me any hormones. But till then! I will see if I can continue trying to lower my range :P

Maybe an odd question, but I wondered if I would pass without a beard.
I've been almost a year on T, and facial hair wise I'm doing great. I love to have a bit of a beard and mainly just trim it. I pass in real life, but I have a suspicion that this is mainly thanks to the facial hair. I would like to shave my facial hair and have it grow anew. You know, a fresh beard. But if that would mean I'd have to get by being called madam and what not for a while I'm not sure it'll be worth it. What do you guys thing? If I'd shave, would I be misgendered?

Mr X, you don't look female to me in the slightest. I don't think shaving is going to get you ma'amed.

You look great, man! I don't think you'll be misgendered if you shave at all. I wish I looked like you.

Mr.X I second what everyone else said. You will pass fine without a beard. There is seriously NOTHING what sets me off as female. No worries bro! ;)

I have the exact same problem, I shaved it off (not that it's much) and I was scared of being called woman, nobody called me woman so far and my classmates didn't mention anything.
I shaved my stache 2 times since I started T (2 years ago lol) maybe you could just trim it until you feel ready to shave, and otherwise you could do the same as I do and shave everything but the
stache.

P.S You don't look female in any way :)
On T since 1 december 2011!

You look excellent, dude! I know it's probably just the lighting, but at first I thought I saw a hint of facial hair growing in, haha.
  •

Ryan55

lol yeah its the lighting, I wish it was and yeah i'm going on T, my first consultation appointment is may 19th, pretty excited

  •

Bombadil

ok, my hair is irritating me. And I'm thinking I might want it differently. And my glasses worry me. Are they too feminine?

This is a bad picture of me but here you go...

I would get a different haircut maybe spike it up or shave it off?
The glasses arent feminine they're more unisex but if they're bothering you, you could look for very squared glasses, they tend to look very masculine.

Btw: you don't look feminine at all way to go :D
On T since 1 december 2011!

Yeah, I pretty much second this, at a glance I definitely thought you had a mustache growing in. Either way, you 100% pass to me, Ryan!

Your glasses look fine to me, though if they're really much of a bother for you personally I recommend getting squared ones. Little details like that can go a long way to help a person pass, but I don't think you have to worry much.. you pass to me in this picture  :)
