Yeah I just texted Keaira saying "Can we watch The Princess Diaries tonight? ;D" No one in real life can ever know of this.

Haha, nothing wrong with that. I like older Disney movies from when I was a teen like "Brink" or "Man of the House".

Trying to think of something good to watch tonight. Just me, the dog, and cats here tonight so nobody else to help me decide. Hmm, I'm thinking of a Schwarzenegger movie marathon.  :D

Ooooh, I was given a screener copy of "Dark Skies" to watch and I shouldn't have right before going to bed last night.

Aliens freak me out man.

No kidding-the title itself sounds scary

Good plan, you don't want to look too obvious, they might think you're malnourished and too skinny!

Trans people aren't going anywhere.  I think that over time with more exposure, we will become more accepted, slowly but surely.  Eventually those who hang on to hateful ideas about us will be seen at the crazy ones.

My opinion

My opinion

I agree.

I've always thought that we need to be removed from GLBT. It puts a sexual connotation on Transgender and that's not what it's about. I know people will bring up Stonewall or say that it gets us more exposure...but sometimes more doesn't necessarily mean the right type of exposure.

Finally got my official job offer, and accepted it.

Then straight away I emailed HR, told them about being trans (all my hiring was done under the 'guise' of female me). I asked them how I should go about disclosing this to my future supervisor (who I've met as female me - ack!), etc.

So now I get to wait till tomorrow to hear back from them. I'm nervous as heck and it's all I'm thinking about :(

I completely agree. Actually, I'm sad to say I've gotten really jaded with the gay community. I didn't come out as trans right away, I thought I was a lesbian (cause I thought lesbians wanted to be men lol), so I was involved in the lesbian community...but now, I find that gays and lesbians are the most ignorant towards me. I fit in better with cis straight people better than gays and lesbians.

Congrats! I know it's hard not to but try not to stress a lot. Que Sera, Sera.

We have to try not to bash their community because I'm certain there are gays and lesbians who are very friendly towards trans people.

I just don't like being lumped together with them in GLBT. Just because of the sexual connotation.

Tuesday is T day and I'm thinking if I should try to do my shot now or wait until later in the day. If I end up sprawled out in the floor with a needle sticking out my thigh hopefully the dog will dial 911.

Hey Ford,
Be sure and give us an update on how it all comes out, I'm sure there are lots of ppl here that will be interested as it's one of the  nerve wracking concerns of almost everyone.

I agree Simon and Caleb. I am also put off by the fact that a lot of the time when people say LGBT, they really just mean LGB.

Yeah, the T is always the bargaining chip that they throw at the political wolves to satiate their need for compromise when any legislation  in favor of the GLB community is up for a vote. T will always get thrown under the bus by the GLB community because T issues are about gender ID as opposed to GLB issues which is about sexual preference. Gender and sex, two different animals altogether!

Me too.

Sometimes I feel useless since I can't help much here because of my lack of transition.  I wish I could help more but it is what it is I guess.

You're a valued member of our Community so never feel that way. We all have to start somewhere. Besides, transition is just changing our shells...you're already all man inside.  :)

I think it comes from feeling more like a taker than a giver.  I'm usually soaking in a lot of advice but I just don't have much experience to give any.  I guess I feel more like a freeloader at times.
