I'm going to cave and buy a loveboat binder.  I just wanted to confirm, if anyone can remember, whether or not the shipping is discreet.  The website says it is, but I'm paranoid and I read on a post here (it was a few years old) that it says "loveboat" on it.  That's not the most appropriate thing on something if my parents answer the door.

Yeah that's right. I *don't* think it's so discrete. Ok so there isn't *chest binder* or *fake penis* on the package. Might want to figure out what you tell your parents.

I THINK I saw a box from them that someone posted on a binder review site that looked pretty discrete but I might be confusing that with another company. I'll look and update my post if I can find more details or the actual post.
Yours truly,

Tobias.

I have gotten a number of packages from them. They ALWAYS say Loveboat on the package. If you emailed them, I doubt they'd understand. They do respond to concerns you have, but it is pretty slow and not always so good in that they must have to find someone to translate and the translation is not the best.

Can you arrange for a local pickup from the shipping facility?  UPS and FedEx usually do that.

Or you could have it shipped to someone and have them repackage it, then mail it to you. I volunteer, but I'm in the US, maybe a UK member will step forward?

I know a couple of trans people I could ask to repackage it for me, it's just added cost and time... And the main reason I want one is for the summer, knowing my luck it'll be over by the time it arrives... A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do I guess, just frustrating.

Any idea if I spoke to loveboat whether they'd be willing to remove their name from the packaging or if it's required to be on the outside for customs purposes?

Hey man, I'm in the UK and if you wanted me to collect and repackage it for you I'd be more than happy.

I've ordered from them before and though I can't remember the packaging specifically (brown cardboard envelope I believe, don't remember a bright blue bag but my memory is foggy. I don't remember seeing the company name on there but the customs declaration was quite discreet — something like "undergarment"). I do remember that it only took about a week for it to arrive. Depending on where you live/the state of the postal service I could easily have it shipped to you for the next day once it arrives, if that would be any help.

Will totally understand if not, but just figured I'd offer. :)

But at any rate, definitely send them an email about it — doesn't hurt to try, and if you don't ask, you don't get, eh?

It's a bright blue envelope. It didn't say "undergarment" on the package, but it did say "loveboat". I usually have to pick mine up, as it is international mail and they require a signature. Not sure they need the signature of the actual person it goes to or just the address.

The normally just need a signature from the address, I sign for things where I work all the time, and they don't even ask for a name they'd be able to spell.  I could just as easily be a customer.  I've picked up packages before because I missed them at my house and happened to see the postwoman later in the afternoon and she never asked for proof that I lived there.  I just don't trust the package to definitely come on a monday or tuesday when I'll be in so I'll be able to get it.

Thanks for the offer, but one of my friends has already said they'd do it for me.  I think I'm just going to get them to send it on rather than email LLB in the end, just encase something gets miscommunicated and it doesn't get removed entirely.

That's the safest approach. I hope it ships quickly for you, hugs, Devlyn
