My reactions have been mixed in regards to coming out. I've come out to my wife, my sister, and my mother and some very close friends. My wife still doesn't quite know what to think and that is currently a great source of confusion between the two of us. Our love for each other is very strong, I truly believe we are soulmates; however, she is not sexually attracted to women and not sure what to think about me.
In all candor ironically, I came out to my wife when she returned from a professional convention after telling her, "I have something important to talk about when you get home". She was relieved when I told her at first, thinking that I was confessing to cheating or being gay.
Several of my friends have said, "about time, we've been waiting for this for a while" and proceed into a litany of reasons why they saw through my masculine facade as a mere bluff.
Some, but not many, have been completely shocked; but, those are far less than I have expected.
