Hey everyone...

I was out on Friday night to the local LGBT bar and, in hindsight, would like your thoughts.

So I went in (alone, no date) and met up with the local TS brigade. Mostly MtF's, all friendly. Ordered a rum and coke, "double shot" and finished that in about an hour. Ordered some food, then ordered a second rum and coke (single this time). Feeling a slight buzz, nothing odd.

The food was delayed, so I went to the bar to ask about it, I left my drink on the table (The drink was barely touched at this point, I drink slow). Came back within a minute or two, I didn't drink again until the food showed. Sipped a little while eating...but before the food was gone, I'll tell you what, I felt a pretty good--a VERY good--buzz going on. In fact, I felt I shouldn't drink anymore, if I planned on driving home that night.

So I stopped with the drinking and the eating (nothing to wash it down with). But it still took a bit to get out of the woozy stage, and even after an hour I still felt a buzz going on. (I'd had less than maybe two shot glasses of rum and coke; my glass was still quite full)

Then I left, went home, and conked out until 8 the next morning (11pm--8am = 9 hours, I usually sleep 6)

Do you think my drink was spiked? I don't know.

Kinda sounds like some stories I've heard.

Possibly.  It is always good to have your drink with you, or have a friend watch it.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

I was wondering about that...fortunately I drink slow (sips), and the moment I noticed by buzz-O-meter going abnormally high, I stopped.

I think I got pretty lucky...next time I'll keep my drink with me.

Thanks.

Hmm...scary thing is, I keep a journal, and my Saturday entries are...cryptic? References to USMC boot camp, showers/latrines alternating (with cloth curtains between) and getting wet from the guy showering "next door" (and me asking the sgt to use the women's restroom)...classes on hand-to-hand...group discussions on topics I didn't want to be a part of, but can't remember on what...

And throughout the day, strong suicide ideations. Unusual for me, since I haven't had those since beginning HRT.

Goddammit, I hope nothing happened. The time entry for me getting home matches what my memory says...hopefully I was just having a depressive episode.

Or maybe you were just feeling weird from the drink being spiked? i find even under relatively "benign" substances, my writing gets pretty messed up.

I'm really, really glad you're OK, btw. *hugs*
